Today was our first time to eat here at the lost Cajun in Hendersonville, Tn and i can honestly say it was not a disappointment, the staff was absolutely wonderful as was the food, we had the gator bites, crab bites and also boudin balls to start, then finished with catfish and shrimp, cat etouffee , and my friend had the po-boy gator sandwich with a bowl of seafood gumbo. So with that it was well worth the money and worth more than 5 stars , great atmosphere and will definitely be back more often, so if you are wondering if you should go or not, don’t hesitate. Thanks for our first time experience. Absolutely delicious. Sorry no photos food didn’t last long enough to take a picture, fresh and hot. Thanks again.

If you want great seafood when in Nashville, you must add this to your restaurant to your stop. We had fried shrimp and catfish prepared perfecto. And try the watermelon lemonade, it's very good. Stephanie was our server and was very attentive. We look forward to next visit to Nashville and to the The Lost Cajun.

I hate having to give a small business a bad review, but this was the most disappointing restaurant I've been to in years, so much so that my husband and I are still discussing our experience hours later. The atmosphere is great, as was the server, but the food... Just atrocious! I ordered the Cajun Alfredo and it was basically a butter/water sauce. There was no richness, or flavor! I was more of a flavorless margarine sauce, and resembled nothing of an Alfredo at all. I ate it like a starving kid feasting on slop from the lunch line because it was food and I was hungry, but saddened more so with each consumed bite. My husband's jumbalaya should have been prosecuted for its impersonation, it was the saddest thing we'd even seen/eaten. It was dry and brown, lacking any speck of flavor. It looked and tasted like it'd been made 5 days beforehand. The sausage was flavorless as well, and no chicken to be found, as described in the dish on the menu. No Cajun veggies, no Cajun flavor.. dry and brown, with no love or soul. Our dishes each came with 'french bread' on the platters. I guess you could call this white hunk of bread 'french' with butter melted, yet again, it was a let down... wasn't even toasted and had absolutely no flavor. At least give us a speckle of parsley, toast it, or add some garlic.. anything man! We had an appetizer as well, which was equally as bad. At least they tried to season the 'Fried Pickles' but it seemed like they dumped a bottle of seasoning salt into the cornmeal batter because after 4 bites, the salt was way too much! On the bright side, neither of us have food poisoning. The server did ask if everything was alright, and I looked at the four teenagers working the 'grill area,' smiled and said everything was fine.. I don't think anything could have been done to fix it, this Cajun restaurant simply -is-LOST.. Nice pictures on the wall tho, but we'll never be back to see them.

Being from Louisiana, this is my favorite place to eat. And the closest to real cajun food! I always get the Catouffee. It’s crawfish etouffee poured over catfish over a bed of rice. I get mine over jambalaya rice. Absolutely delicious! Service is always great too!

I've had it before and it was very good but this time it was extremely bland and cold. The beignets are fire though

Good service, food was pretty good too. A lot of extra wait staff imo and being from southern MS the Cajun was ok.

The food was fresh hot and tasty. The 5 pc catfish and shrimp platter (19.99) was amazing. The fish was light, not overpowering, and the portion was large as you can see. I had plenty of leftovers. The fried pickles were standard. (5.49) I also tried the beignets (unphotographed bc they were in a small brown paper sack to go). Menu items range from 3 to 30 bucks and they have lunch specials throughout the week. The garlic bread that comes with most dishes was very tasty. I gave them a try bc of word of mouth and it's nice to have a bit of NOLA flavor in this area.

Love the fish poor boy! Their fish is always delicious and cooked just right. The bread and what they put on the sandwich is just perfect. The chicken gumbo is very good too. At lunch you can have a half sandwich of your choice and a bowl of gumbo of your choice. Stephanie is a great waitress too!

This place has great food and at a good price. I am especially for of the lobster bisque which I get one Tuesdays with the bottomless bowl. The Louisiana sweet tea is also good.
