After a 6-year hiatus due to unsanitary conditions and lack of quality food at this restaurant, I recently revisited La Fiesta, and the culinary experience was a delightful surprise. The dishes, reminiscent of Grandma's cooking, exude authenticity. While prices may lean on the higher side, the quality justifies the expense, somewhat. The times I've ordered here, I opted for takeout, so I can't vouch for the dine-in experience, but the swift 10-15 minute wait for takeout is a definite plus. Ample parking and wheelchair accessibility add to the convenience. Kudos to the friendly, English/Spanish-speaking staff. Passing through? “This is the North Los Portales which is a beautifully decorated restaurant - inside and out. The servers are very nice and will help with anything you need. The food is very good at this Los Portales.Wheelchair accessibility: It’s easy to roll inside.“
“Very good as usual. We miss the other store, its quite a bit out of the way to go to Thompson Farms however, the two locations were as different as daylight and dark. @Newer location: Food is better, service is quicker and the portions are larger.“
“Great food served by a beautifully energetic waitress in an authentic Mexican atmosphere. Perfect for a Taco Tuesday! The grilled Tilapia on a nice bed of shredded lettuce is fantastic and the flour tortillas are fresh and steamy. The choriqueso is a magnificent blend of cheese and spicy pork and it all made for a great lunch/dinner.“

“My first visit (because I really like MY Mexican food place) but a friend wanted to go here. I order a jumbo margarita and steak tacos. Tacos were good and margarita was ok. My friend ordered a tornado margarita which was pretty but not worth $15.00. Their chips are really good. Server was excellent. Still like my place better.“
“We love coming to Mi Casita - it’s a little gem in downtown Humboldt. Food and service are excellent, FANTASTIC chips and salsa, and kind and helpful staff. They have handled a huge crowd of ours several times and have quick and accurate service. We’ll be back again. And again.“
