I went with my husband and 2 boys. We got there at 2:49 and by the time someone came by to take our order they said it was 3:00 and we can’t order off lunch? Seriously? And then they bring my 2 small kids full size drinks. My husbands 16.00 meal was the size of my sons kids meal. I asked for tortillas for my sons kids meal and when it came out there were 2 so I asked for the one to be removed since I wasn’t told it would come with one and she refused! When we asked for a Togo cup for my sons drink so he can take his meds she said that a Togo cup for a drink we already paid for will charge us extra?! I used to frequent this place but never again what a rip off.

Always, always solid and delicious food. This was the first Mexican restaurant I remember opening in Jackson and many years later, it never disappoints.

This is my second time eating from this Los Portales. NASTY .. it's all I can say. I got the taco salad. No cheese just a half chicken breast lettuce and maybe some refried beans. I didn't take pictures. I sent it back. Which is something I never do. But my lunch date was like.. send that ish back!! It was that bad. The server was fine.. and that was the only thing that was good about this lunch.

Great food, quick service. The cops and salsa come quick and the chips are warm the salsa is delicious. We've never had a bad meal whether it is seafood, nachos, chicken or beef. It's always good and always hot.
