This is the North Los Portales which is a beautifully decorated restaurant - inside and out. The servers are very nice and will help with anything you need. The food is very good at this Los Portales.Wheelchair accessibility: It’s easy to roll inside.

Simple but tasty Quesadilla Renna with almost too many onions, melty cheese, and nicely grilled and seasoned mushrooms. Along with a Guacamole Salad with ChoriQueso that left my palate unsatisfied and wishing for more chorizo. The accompanying tortilla chips however are crispy and not oily and the service was excellent with a Margarita that is well constructed and actually has a good kick to it. Love the atmosphere! It's colorful and vibrant and radiates good energy. Even the Hostess up from did an amazing job.

The whole experience was very good as usual. We eat at Los Portales often but first time in Jackson location.
We had taken a break from this location for around 2 years or so. We felt adventurous today so we went around 5 pm. We waited for an extended amount of time to be seated and usually, that's an omen of the joys to come. Once seated, we patiently waited for chips/salsa and to order drinks. I feel I must state that several tables were open around the restaurant. It was not as busy as usual. However, we waited long enough that when asked for drink orders we simply placed our entire order. The waitress was nice and smiling, but seemed a bit rushed. I don't want to seem like I'm blaming the waitress, I have no idea what she had on her plate during our visit. I just wanted my plate with something on it. The waiting did quickly go away once we ordered. We received our drinks and cheese dip, shortly followed by our meals. The salsa was freshened up and extra chips arrived right on time. We did enjoy our meals and had some left to bring home. Also, we placed a to-go order for our youngin at home. So all together it wasn't a terrible time. I tried a new dish and it was excellent. We won't wait so long before stopping by again.
