My family eats here about once a week and I have to say it is amazing! We’ve been waiting a long time for an authentic Mexican restaurant and Costa Chica does not disappoint! The food is delicious and the service is wonderful. We are so impressed with the server, Michael. He’s very professional, attentive and so polite.If you haven’t tried it, do yourself a favor and check it out!PS- Michael ALWAYS interacts with our daughter who rarely speaks to any adults (tweens!). He’s the best!!10/10 :)

Ate here for the first time yesterday. It was a nice little lunch date with my mom. Had not even finished one taco when our server, whose name I dont recall, handed me a piece of paper and on it was a Bible verse. I am not a religious person and I think I wear that fact very obviously (I’m pagan if you must know). I found it extremely rude, disrespectful, unprofessional and highly inappropriate as I was a paying customer trying to enjoy a day with my mother. The food I did have was okay but I quickly lost my appetite and left feeling judged. I don’t think a workplace is a good time to be forcing your religious beliefs onto customers. I won’t be returning.
Wow!! Ate tonight at Costa Chica Grill in JC. It was so good, and the portions were humongous. We've been trying to find authentic Mexican food, and this place has it! Service was awesome too! They have a meat market with a huge selection as well. Will definitely be back!

First off I really wanted to like this place but can’t say I had a great experience. The staff were very friendly and welcoming so that was a positive. But that’s where the positive ends for me, the quesabirria has little flavor and just tastes bland. The cheese they used was nice in it but no wonderful flavors like you would normally have when getting birria. The beans we ordered as a side also tasted burnt and were super bland as well. And finally the service was very slow, yes I do understand places are short staffed. But there were maybe 10 people in the restaurant total and it still took 30 minutes to get our food. I will go back and try another dish because I believe in trying a place multiple times to give them the best chance. But as of now this place is not high on my list.
