Beyond a disappointment. For starters, A crispy chicken salad and some fried pickles cost us $30 here.. absolutely insane. We are more than willing to pay the price if the quality is up to par, but that just wasn’t the case here. We got a to go order of a crispy chicken salad, and what we received was a mediocre salad with whole chicken strips and whole pieces of bacon piled on top of flaccid fast food chain quality food. We got the salad to go with the intention of eating it “to go”… why would you not chop up the chicken and bacon on a salad and leave them whole? Most people get to go orders because they need to eat it somewhere on the go.. we didn’t even receive to go silverware when we selected the option for it as well; we had to stop and get that at a separate place. We got the bread sampler too and the rolls were ROCK HARD— seriously. Not to mention lacking any sort of flavor! This meal cost us quite a lot when the quality was to the standard of Zaxbys or Hardee’s.. and honestly, I would much rather go there at this point. If you are in Knoxville, do not believe the hype— get your money’s worth with quality food somewhere like Stock and Barrel where you get what you pay for. Even the fries, something hard to mess up, completely missed the mark and lacked any sort of flavor. I wish we would’ve spent our money elsewhere.

I have lived in Knoxville for almost twenty four years and Calhoun's remains my favorite restaurant. My husband (who was born here) and I go there for lunch every week or so. We love to sit at the bar at the Turkey Creek location. Kelsey takes great care of us each and every time! My favorite is the house salad with two ranch's and of course the corn bread!!

Try the triple: ribs, pulled pork, and fried chicken.

The restaurant is very nice with a huge fireplace. The service was amazing. They let us stay after are meal to wait for friends. The food was delicious ?. I had the smoked wings with the sweet and spicy BBQ sauce. My daughter had the grilled chicken. They served bread prior to meal with 3 types. Biscuits. Bread. Muffin. Highly recommend ???

We love eating at Calhoun 's. I especially like their Oriental chicken salad and of course, their ribs! Their roasted half BBQ chicken is another one of our favorites.Wheelchair accessibility: It is all on the ground floor. They have handicap parking available.
Go here if, as a person of color, you like watching white people in suits served before you. A prime rib in 8 minutes compared to a plate of wings in 57 minutes. And someone “dropped” our appetizer so we sat there for 57 minutes waiting for an appetizer that never came. Then they offered us a plate of fries in lieu of that. No thanks.

Food was fine, but the wait times after ordering were nonsense. After waiting 45 minutes for an appetizer, we were told it was delivered to the wrong table. Every few years I try this place because my grandparents liked it, and I am consistently disappointed.
Overall a great night. Food had by all was excellent from the bacon wrapped burnt ends, hamburgers, ribs and the hickory smoked prime rib! Only one flaw with the food pulled pork sandwich was literally half fat. I know pulled pork is fatty but this was a bit much. Will definitely go again and suggest to friends!

I was seriously disappointed. I have enjoyed many meals at other Calhoun's locations, but this was the first time I had been to this particular store.I got the ribs (always a favorite), but they were overcooked, and the potato was undercooked. The little cup of coleslaw was the high point of the meal.I didn't bother complaining because it took over 45 minutes for the food to come out, and I was absolutely starving. The server was very nice but ultimately inattentive. I had to ask for silverware, drink refills, and my missing side salad. If you're hungry for Calhoun's, then I strongly recommend trying one of the other locations.

Excellent. Holds up to the Calhouns name. I haven't had one thing from the menu that wasn't enjoyable and the specials are always great too! I recommend the chicken salad club.
