Sweet corn tamale appetizer was cold. Not edible. Drinks are AWFUL. Ordered from drink menu and my drinks made but not with the ingredients listed because they were out. Grilled chicken was very good. Service was good but would not recommend the food.

I heard good things about this restaurant, so I tried it today. It was very disappointing! The establishment was clean, but the food and service were horrible. The daytime manager and hostess sat in the booth next to me, discussing personal issues loud enough for anyone in their vicinity to hear, regardless if we wanted to or not. I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant.

Angela was such an amazing host. Chris was our friendly server. The food was to die for. We got salads and a ribeye. The corn and creamed spinach were delightful. Real southern cooking. This is our first time here and everything was so good. I can’t wait to come back for bluegrass nights :)Definitely a gem of South Knox. Come check it out!

We revisited Chop South today and, despite experiencing some delays in service, we were met with exceptional friendliness from the staff. Although there was a slight error with our order, the server promptly involved the manager, who went above and beyond to rectify the mistake. The team's dedication exceeded my expectations. The ribeye steak and prime rib were both cooked to perfection, with a well-balanced seasoning that complemented the flavors beautifully.
Stopped here for dinner to get away from Knoxville on game night. Very good food with big portions. Very good service, very attentive. Stuffed mushrooms are very good, loved the dip with them.

My wife I went there the other night,my wife had the chicken and rice and loved it and I had the loaded mashed potatoes and steak.The steak was the thinnest steak I have ever seen and it looked horrible considered it was 28.00 I showed the server she brought the manager which she said she would make another one but we never got it after waiting a while,so we left will probably not be back.
