Ate lunch here weekly years ago. Food is much better since remodel and reopening of dining room! More veggies, addition of salad included with entree, larger portions, more appetizers, comfortable seating. Best Japanese grill in the area hands down!
Place hasn't changed in 15 years and I'm very happy with that. Consistently wonderful food with large portions. Great staff!Edit: After COVID shut down the dining room for a few years they took the opportunity to give the place a facelift. Everything is fine except the food now. The freshness of the meal is now lost. It's as if the hibachi is now pre-cooked and just thrown into a bowl for a re-heat. It used to be served freshly cooked with a light amount of teriyaki sauce with some searing from the cooking process. There is no evidence of sauce at all!. Onions and squash servings are not even half of what they used to be and far too much broccoli. It's a shame the food quality has been traded for a facelift and during a lunch service yesterday there were only myself and two others there. Before that place would have been packed. I believe the former patrons are all having the same experience and are going elsewhere. It's such a shame.

I used to get food here all the time it was my favorite place to eat. When the closed for a while I was so sad but when the opened up again I was so excited and the inside it amazingly done!! The only thing is that the taste of the food has changed. There’s no flavor and I’ve tried more than once to give it a chance. I never got any more of that good juice in the food that gave it flavor. Now my rice is dry and blah. Same for the rest of the food. Even my mom could tell and we are so sad.

I have been a HUGE fan of Fuji’s for over 20 years! When I left knoxville to go to college I drove for hours (with all my roommates) to come back to knoxville just for dinner! EVERYONE loved Fuji’s!! I just had my first visit last night since the reopening, and like the other reviews have said, it is different ?I would always get the Chicken Teriyaki and the veggies where cut and cooked differently. The onions where almost fresh and barely sautéed. I also noticed 0 teriyaki sauce. It was less flavorful and I do miss the old recipe and cooking style. I giggled to myself that I am not the only one who noticed they changed the Togo boxes. Haha I think that is true evidenced of an avid Fuji’s lover!!Please consider bringing back some of the original taste and cooking style of the OG Fuji’s?

The renovations are awesome and we’ve loved being able to dine in again! We enjoy Fuji for an easy dinner option every month or so. You get a good amount of food- usually enough for two meals- at a fair price.
New menu, same great food! Dine in is open now, after renovations and still offers a fast drive thru. I’ve been eating Fuji for 15yrs+. This new menu is fantastic, affordable, and provides more variety. Service is excellent and serving size is hefty. Shrimp sauce is the best.
