Did the 1 of each for the first course and the rattlesnake rabbit sausage was our favorite. She had the elk loin and I chose the bison but we both thought the elk was way better. We both got a salad, desert, 3 drinks each and shared a side. Total was about $450 but it was worth it.

The appetitizers were unique and incredibly flavorful. Service was great, we got a few things the waiter recommended and they were our favorites.

Service was great. Meats we ordered were all good. Cooked perfectly and with added salt, tasted very good. The gnocchi were really good- like little fried mashed potatoes. The carrots were just average- would be much better if charred on their stems and brushed with the sauce. They didn't look that great chopped up and put in a bowl. The salad with the duck prosciutto was very good. The hush puppies were ok- wrong texture to be called hush puppies. Food was good, not sure it was worth the price tag.

We were really impressed with the variety of the menu. The cuts of meat were very high-quality! They were not cooked to our request. All cuts were cooked much rarer. The elk was a bit gamey. This restaurant has amazing potential. It really has a lot of variety. It just seems that the seasoning is over the top and the cooking temperature is not predictable. Still, a very good experience. Love the ambience very good service excellent liquor selection.

The meal was outstanding. While I was expecting The Wagyu strip to have additional marbling. The amount of fat pockets and the size of them was excessive. Also has a large amount of fat on the edges. I have really enjoyed the Wagyu Tomahawk the couple times that I have had it , but I did not have anybody to split with on Friday night. So I opted for Waygu Strip versus the prime strip. I did not meet the high standards I have become accustomed to at The Lonesome Dove.

Excellent steak house with unique dishes like elk and bison for fine dining in a business casual atmosphere. Great cocktails and wine selection for dinner, a definite must do in the old city.

Service was outstanding, food would've been better, but I found the Prime rib to be a little over, more medium/medium well, instead of medium rare. Also, the food came out colder than I prefer. The taste was still great, and it came out quickly, but again, not hot.

Since I only got a canned response when I reached out privately on their Facebook page I'll share my experience here. "Just had a belated anniversary dinner at your establishment this evening and to be quite honest my wife and I were pretty disappointed. I booked our reservation 2 weeks ago and we were sat at a table right next to the pass and what seemed like the staff dining area. We could barely hear our server tell us about the menu much less have a conversation with the clattering of dishes and the calling out of orders drowning everything else out. This is not what I expect from an establishment that I consider fine dining. Much less what should have been a romantic dinner There was another couple that was sat at the table next to us that also seemed pretty annoyed. While we aren’t regulars we have been to your restaurant in the past and enjoyed ourselves. While overall we enjoyed our food I’m honestly just confused why we would be sat where we were considering we had reservations and were on time." With the number of amazing restaurants in Knoxville both in this price range and less, your money is better spent somewhere else. At least until they add some kind of separation between the dining area and the kitchen.

Gave this place a second shot after a first-time disappointment. Most of the food items were luke warm to cold. Ridiculously expensive. 4 people came to $535 without tip. That included four $14 glasses of wine and one $50 bottle of wine. The food is not worthy of anywhere near what they charge. Don't be fooled by the price tag on this place. It's all name and high menu costs. That's it.

Since I didn't receive anything other than a canned response when I reached out privately on FB Messenger. Here are the concerns that I sent to Lonesome Dove. With that I would say your money is best spent elsewhere. While the food was good Knoxville has a large number of amazing restaurants at this price range or in some cases less.
