Love this place so much! Nama is my favorite sushi bar in Knox! Personally, the downtown location is my favorite for atmosphere, quality, and convience, but when I'm looking to go more causal and not have to have a wait for a table, then I'll come here!The sushi is pretty much the same anyway! The service is very friendly and we normally are served very quickly here.
Ordered Togo sushi on a Monday and a Thursday, 6 rolls total and all were super good. My favorite by far was the Atlantic - the raw salmon tasting amazing. And the chili sauce that came with it was top notch - I even asked for a side of it when I came back the next time (which the bartender was happy to add). And the portions were large - all my rolls came with at least 8 thick pieces and some came with more.Definitely packed on the BOGO nights but service was still relatively fast (call ahead) and checkout was easy. Lively atmosphere.Found parking immediately both times - lot in front and to side of building.

This has always been my go to for sushi in Knoxville. That said, there seems to have been a staff turnover recently and I am not impressed. I was charged an additional fee for an item listed on the menu that comes with the meal and told by a server that she couldn't remove the additional charge that came on my bill. I had to get a manager involved to assist. I was also told they were out of tamari (gluten free soy sauce) and then the manager found a full bottle in the back after I had finished my meal. Tighten up Nama or you will lose your loyal customers.
Walked in to a half empty restaurant and was told all the open tables were reserved, so we sat at the bar, had to flag down a waitress after 10 minutes. Ordered our food and drinks right off the bat, another 10 minutes go by and our drinks show up and then our food. My girl ordered miso soup and it never came. After finishing our meal we asked for the check and then had to flag down another waiter and ask them for the check again. In total we spent $50 for 3 rolls, a Dr Pepper and a water. Food was ok but definitely not worth $50. Girlfriend said there was no toilet paper in the women’s bathroom and there were no hand towels in the men’s room.

Ordered one roll to go because my daughter wanted dinner. Was charged $2 solely for “to go packaging” never have I ever been to a restaurant where they charge you for packaging….That is absolutely insane. Also, why was it $17 for one small roll?? Don’t waste your time going to this restaurant it is severely overpriced for what you get. Was in a pinch for a roll, I’ll make sure to go somewhere else next time ?
