I’ve been going to Panda Garden since I moved to Knoxville from New York around 16 years ago. If you want authentic NY style Chinese food, you go here. This is seriously the only place in town you can get a decent egg roll. A lot of people complaining about the staff, but I’ve never had an issue, plus I normally do take out. I honestly prefer a less personal dining experience though. This is a hole in the wall Chinese takeout place, and it’s the by far the best. Not meant to be fine dining by any means. So if you’re used to eating that kind of Asian food, you’re not gonna appreciate the traditional and authentic street food taste they offer that I grew up eating. If I were famous and lived in another state, this would be my haunt back home. Favorite restaurant in Knoxville since I was 15.

We order to take out, and so far the products we have ordered have been great. It would help if the people working there spoke better English.

So bad that I didn’t even get my food. We called in an order for take out , didn’t get our name or anything, just took our order and said ‘10 min’. We ordered beef chow mein dinner combo and orange chicken family combo. When I got there, the woman at the counter asked me exactly what I ordered (because they didn’t get any name or info) so I tell her and she tells me pork chow mein. I told her no, it should be beef. She literally huffs in frustration at me and then says do I want vegetable or noodles? Confused I asked what she meant and she points at a picture in which I show her the chow mein with NOODLES. She says no, that’s lo mein and chow mein is with noodles. Chow mein is fried noodles, lo mein is tossed noodles. Again, she huffs in frustration and was EXTREMELY rude about the situation. I ended up telling her to forget it and I left. No one was in that restaurant and I doubt there was any other orders, but who knows?! Ask for a name, repeat the order, and be kind. We will never give this place our business.

Ordered vegetable Lo Mein and general tso’s chicken with broccoli and white rice. The Lo Mein was great! Good noodle, firm fresh veggies. The white rice was good. But now the General Tso’s chicken…well the sauce is very thick and sweet without any spice and there is ALOT of it! The chicken of course is dark meat and a little grisly. It was very disappointing! I would never order the General Tso chicken again.

Our favorite place for a variety of comforting and greasy Chinese food. The service is fine and it's not really a dine-in kind of place. There are tables for your convenience but not a service atmosphere. Get your food and go, simple as that.

This is not a restaurant, it's a take-out with some tables and chairs. Order and pay at the counter and collect your meals from the counter when ready. We said we'd eat in when asked, but the food came in a Styrofoam take-out box anyway !!? Clean your own table on the way out. Plastic knives, forks and sauce packets on a table. We had to ask for napkins. Food basically all seemed the same, protein (meat or shrimp) and vegetables in the same gloopy brown gravy. The fried rice was dry and sub-par too. Won't be back... Ever...
