Absolute worst experience I’ve ever had in a restaurant, hands-down it took 38 minutes for the server to even acknowledge. We were sitting at the table and then took another 20 minutes to get our first rounds of drinks. The food was absolutely disgusting the the duck confit mac & cheese tasted like it came straight out of a microwave. There are much better places in Knoxville to spend $120 for dinner. Don’t waste your money.

The Tavern offers tapas as well as salads, burgers and sandwiches .We tried the White/Navy Bean and Truffle Soup of the Day and it was quite good. It was served with a savory crostini which nicely complemented it.My Partner had the Chicken Salad sandwich and Honey-Roasted Vegetables. I tried the Whiskey Bacon Burger with Fries. They use Double Gloucester Cheddar in several of their dishes. For the non-cheese aficionados, Double Gloucester Cheddar is made from full-fat cream/milk (Single Gloucester is made with skim milk) and a Double Gloucester wheel is twice the height of a Single Gloucester wheel. It is also rumored to be made from two distinct milkings. The Whiskey Bacon Burger was prepared with a Bacon Jam, which nicely incorporated the whiskey flavor in the background; the bacon was incorporated into the burger which always gives a delightful flavor throughout the burger. The Chicken Salad was likewise unique in its ingredients and was nicely balanced. The Honey-Roasted Vegetables however, were exquisite. Carrots, Broccolini, Green Beans, with White and Red New Potatoes sautéed and infused with honey and crumbled bacon. These are a favorite of both clients and staff.Overall, a most excellent Lunch. The tapas on the Lunch and Dinner Menu, are calling out to be chosen!

I couldn’t decide which was worse, the service or the food. The fruit flies at my table were unwelcome company. The table beside me was full of dirty dishes yet to be bussed when I was seated and when I left they were still there… probably the source of the fruit flies tbh. The drinks were the best part of my experience, until a fruit fly landed in it. All in all I have eaten at Waffle Houses that were cleaner and had better service & food. I would take someone here if I wanted them to hate me.

The food was amazing. There were 5 of us and we all loved what we ordered. 2 of us ordered the salad with the beets in it. I can honestly say it was the best salad I have ever eaten. The other 3 got the small plate of steak with fries and they kept mentioning how wonderful the flavors were.

Overpriced hotel food with young and engaging staff. Only had a night in Knoxville and was too tired from travel to go out. I regret it.

Had a couple drinks at the bar & ordered food to- go. Limited draft beer selection, but it was a good variety. Highly recommend the smoked wings & deviled eggs. The wings are not breaded & have a sweet & smoky sauce with a small amount of spice. Had everything packaged nicely with condiments & silverware. If I'm back in the area, I will eat here again.

Food was good but has to much spice. Menu should allow for plain vs. Seasoned. There are still some people who don't do spice.

Great find! Nestled in the Marriott Hotel downtown, we had a fantastic dinner here. We Ubered but could use hotel valet in the future to avoid the tricky parking situation. Wasn't busy at all on a Friday so we were seated right away. Cocktails were delicious. Gin Remedy was what I had to start. Dangerously good and refreshing. They had blue cheese olives so next I had the perfect dirty martini. French 75 was also well executed with a good balance of lemon and Prosecco. Food situation:-Hush puppies (exactly like how you would expect with a good dipping sauce)-Calabash Fry (I wasn't as excited to try this one but I will definitely get this next time. That aioli paired with it made the dish for me)-Duck Mac & Cheese (VERY rich and filling. Wish this was a side but it made for tasty leftovers)-Steak Frites (the chimichurri type sauce was good. This was a rather small portion so you may want an extra side)-Wedge Salad (added filet tips which was the way to go. VERY heavy on the blue cheese so if you're not crazy about that, don't order. Benton's bacon took it up a notch!)-We didn't have room for dessert, but next time we'll have to try the cheesecakeLeaving room for a 5 star review. This was 4.75 for us due to the cold. To be fair, we visited on the coldest night of the year, but with the garage-door style walls, it was hard to keep it warm. We had to wear our jackets while inside. But this will be the place to be in the summertime. When we come back, I'll plan to try the wings and the ribeye. It's not just your average hotel restaurant. Will be spreading the word about this place!

Really disappointed. My first glass of wine had little chips across the top and I didn’t notice bc the lighting was dim. It cut my lip. The manager came over and said they’d cover that glass and my meal which I appreciated. The second glass of wine also had a small chip on one side of it, which I’m glad I checked. We ordered steak frites, one came out correct, one came out over cooked but I ate it anyway. Both came out cold. The bill came and nothing had been removed from the bill and we had to remind the waitress. There were 8 of us, and they could not separate the bill per person because they weren’t “allowed to go behind the bar if it was busy”… so we all had to Venmo one person who covered the bill. Never seen a “nice” restaurant or even a mediocre restaurant not be able to split a bill. Overall for the high price, was extremely disappointed. Would definitely never go back. Our waitress was very sweet and took good care of us though, so we’re thankful for that.
