This is a great locally owned Mexican restaurant and ice cream store. There's always a bunch of people eating, but you usually don't have to wait for a seat. Food is brought out quickly within five or seven minutes in most of the three visits I've had there. They have your own salsa bar that you can make your own combinations and nice bar with various mixed drinks as well as beers and ice cream store is incredible. Homemade popsicle type treats and homemade ice cream of flavors including the ones you normally see and a few that you rarely see like mango and most of queso cheese ( it is amazing). Petrillos has become one of our regular places to grab a really nice meal. They also have a bodega next door that even has a butcher shop in it.Wheelchair accessibility: Concrete ramp access to the front door. Also outside seating with tables and chairs, and covered area as well as a side porch.

I ordered a $14 Mexican steak dinner that was absolutely in edible. I couldn’t cut the steak with the steak knife. It was the toughest piece of meat I have ever encountered.

This may be one of the best Mexican restaurants in Knoxville. I recently tried it more out of curiosity than anything else but I was positively surprised. Food tastes great, on pair to some Mexican restaurants I used to go in the San Francisco area. I love the salsa bar and I definitely recommend their orchata.

I ordered a molcaje, it looked delicious in the photo of the menu, but when they brought it I lost my desire; It looked all jumbled up as if it had been crushed, the truth is, it was very unappetizing, I really don't recommend it.

Amazing authentic street tacos! I've had the pastor, lingua, chicharron & carne asada. They are all delicious, but my favorites are chicharron and pastor. Their salsa is also delicious. Everything I've had there is fresh and so yummy. The staff are very friendly and helpful.

Easily my favorite Mexican place in East TN. Salsa bar is elite. The Huarache with chorizo topped with tomatillo salsa and pickled onions is literally one of my top 3 favorite things to eat.

The food and the staff are great! Working my way through the menu and so far, it's all delicious! Love the Jalisco fajitas (steak, grilled chicken, shrimp, and grilled veggies), chips are fresh and crisp, and they make their own ice cream!! Yum!
Absolutely our favorite Mexican food! Everything is amazing! The service is great! It’s hard to eat any other Mexican food since we’ve been eating here. Then, the ice cream….*chefs kiss*

THIS WAS POOREST EXCUSE FOR MEXICAN FOOD I HAVE EVER HAD!! THE FOOD TASTED LIKE RAVIOLI RED SAUCE AND DIRTY DISH WATER! THE WAITER WITH MAN BUN WAS BEYOND A JERK AND AND HECKLED US ALL THE WAY OUT THE DOOR. One good note the manager and girl at register were very apologetic and nice. WILL NEVER GO BACK OR RECOMMEND ANYONE GOING! Very disappointed
