I went into this place on their day off when they were having a social gathering. I was unaware they were closed. When I realized my mistake, they still offered me the best hospitality and fed me and welcomed me.
These are the some of the best people I've ever met and I would recommend them and their wonderful food 10 out of 10 times. So if you're up my way on Western/Oak Ridge Highway, stop in, say hello and don't forget to try the pork. It is smoky and flavorful, along with their sides and banana pudding.

Me and my husband just find out about the spot from the chicken to the ribs macaroni in cornbread ? omg yes goooo see for yourself great food ? nice people..
Everything was good. It was quick turnaround after I payed for my food. Ribs are good and tender. I would have liked some more seasoning but it's good. Cabbage was my favorite. The greens were good as well. Old fashioned cornbread and real banana pudding. I was greeted with a warm southern greeting. I would come back again if I were in the area. It's a little hidden but visible.
Had the smoked sausage, Mac and cheese and the smoked cabbage. Everything was great. Fast service.

The food at this place is always awesome they have wonderful ribs and all sorts of barbecue stuff that's good for the tummy this is an excellent place to eat and sit and relax.
I ordered the 1/2lb of brisket, rib dinner with greens,baked beans and corn muffin. The corn muffin was missing. The ribs was dry, tough and bland. The brisket was also bland. The sides was very good and flavorful. This is my second time ordering with the same results. Will not order again.

This was excellent! I didn’t even take a picture of my pulled pork dinner plate because I ate it so fast. Collard greens are a dream. Cornbread is moist. This BBQ is better than any of the bigger names in Knoxville. Had the Duke and NC game on in the dining room. Will be back!
Went here one weekday evening recently. Smallish parking lot out front with the smell of marijuana in the air!? Anyway, we went in for some takeout and the place was empty, although think we heard some people out in the yard, despite the frigid temperatures. I got the brisket dinner and my wife got the turkey leg and coleslaw. The turkey leg wasn't that big, was dry, and pretty much needed the included BBQ sauce to be edible. I didn't try her coleslaw. My brisket was 3 very thin, rubbery slices that I needed a steak knife to cut. The BBQ sauce they'd included (on the side) was just the usual, gloopy, generic stuff; definitely not "house made". For sides, I had chosen Smoked Cabbage and Mac 'n Cheese The smoked cabbage was basically fried cabbage with a couple of slices of smoked sausage in it. The mac 'n cheese was dry and obviously reheated. Similar food to Buddy's BBQ (which isn't great either) and is not worth the trip out into the sticks.

Thought an update was due. I have been eating here for over a year. Love the chicken quarters they make on Fridays. But I had a bad experience that has me eating elsewhere. I usually go in on Fridays and eat and order take out to take back to work for those who can’t get away. So I go in and order and while I’m eating another customer comes in and places a big order so they take food out of my order and give to the person who came in after me. They refunded me for the part of my order they resold to someone else but that is about the worst customer service I can imagine. And I was a loyal customer who has sent at least 50 different people there to eat over the last year. On what planet is this acceptable?

Literally best BBQ hands down. The people are so great and friendly. The food is BEYOND delicious. We literally buy it in bulk and freeze it. You guys are the best.
Stopped today for lunch to go, smelled cabbage when i walked in. Not a big cabbage fan but had to try the "smoked" cabbage, WOW! I'M A FAN NOW! Wings were great. Tried to order banana pudding as a side but it's not offered as side so opted for bake beans instead. When I got home I discovered a cup of banana pudding in the bag! And it was hands down, the best banana pudding I've had, Ever! Can't wait till next trip! Yours truly "sweetheart"
