Awesome little place to eat! BBQ chicken and brisket was amazing. Mac&Cheese was fantastic also! Patio seating was wonderful with plenty of shade! Would definitely eat here again!
Well worth the visit. Had the sampler and upgraded to a half rack over a ¼ rack. Split it and each had plenty. Ribs were tender, pork was a little dry but the sandwich was stuffed and the sauce at the table in thick and thin handled the situation. Brisket was great. Went basic with the sides but they have all the southern options. Mac and cheese was killer. A great cheese blend. Potato salad and cole slaw were both good but I didn't pick up anything unique or special, but they did appear to be made in house so props for that. Cool atmosphere just on the edge of the gentrified downtown. I would return. The whole package is well done and well cooked.

The only thing stopping us from giving 5 stars is that they were sold out of quite a few things when we got there, but this wasn't advertised on the board. The service wasn't exactly the usual over-friendly American service you might expect, but that's fine, it reminded us of home!

My husband and I had been wanting to try their food for awhile and was highly dissappointed. My husband ordered a rack of ribs and a side of fries and half the rack was nothing but fat and the other half was hard with some chewy spots. I got the brisket platter with mac n cheese and beans with cornbread and the brisket was dry, chewy, and flavorless and the Mac was too thick and i didn't care for the flavor. The cost of our meals was 60$ and we didn't even order dessert. I would never recommend trying their food especially at this location bc for that price i expected outstandingly good food not blah.

In town visiting from Florida - looked at reviews so had to try. It’s down town so hit or miss on parking - I found free parking (was a Sunday midday). Food was good and prepared and under 2 minutes. Has sit down eating and a bar I believe. Brisket was moist but chewy (might be how all authentic brisket is), pulled chicken was good along with ribs- dry rub really puts the taste on it. I was surprised the Mac n cheese wasn’t just basic or bland. Price wise - you pretty much get what you pay for. Nothing more or nothing less

Sweet P's catered our wedding at the Magnolia Venue in February of this year for about 130 people, and went above and beyond!! We went to the downtown Knoxville location which is not in a great area of town, there were homeless people hanging out on the sidewalk and the parking lot is full of trash. There is no handicapped parking. The building is really nice old building with charm, too bad it has terrible location.This is order at the counter, self serve type dine in.
