Average dining hall food. All of it was EXTREMELY salty (and I like salt). I'd say you definitely got the amount of food you paid for since you can get a main meal, salad, soup, dessert and drink for all one price (buffet ish style).The place is fairly clean and is like a nice dark restaurant. I will probably come again for convience.Vegetarian options: Always have vegetarian options to the main meal.

As soon as I stepped foot in this establishment, I was greeted with not only the warm aroma of fried chicken but also an intimate massage from the greeter. A meal swipe gets you so much nowadays! Anyway, I need you to understand that my hunger unleashed a primal aggression that had been long chained and subdued. Only a delicious Aramark prepared frozen meal could save Knoxville from utter devastation. Southern Kitchen is not just a home but a hero. Not like Iron Man, more like Hawkeye after he gives up on his life’s ambitions in a deep depressive episode, but a hero nonetheless. Alas, if I had to pick a last meal, it would be Southern Kitchen.

The food is great! I go often for lunch and dinner when I don't feel like cooking. Great location for Fort Sanders residents. Line usually out the door for lunch rush
My wife and I both had burgers and our son had the adult portion of the chicken tenders. My wife had brussel sprouts which she loved. Our burgers were scrumptious as were the fries. We were traveling, so our son loved his tenders which came in a generous portion. While the food was great, the service was even better! Our waiter was always on hand and refilled our drinks without needing to be asked. Highly recommend!

Each time I go there the person who serves you during breakfast and lunch is extremely rude. He visibly is unhappy to be there, and it's frustrating to enjoy the food, but to be served so horribly.He mocks you for changing your mind, slipping up in your own order, or for simply being quiet. I myself am a quiet person, and for him to be rude when I'm not speaking at the level he wants is unacceptable.I know most likely nothing will change here, so this place should be avoided. It's a shame too because the food is actually really good.
