The work that Yassin puts into the community is reason enough to stop in.The food here is amazing, and they can be flexible with substitutions. My go-to is the regular chicken plate with hummus instead of the baba ghanoush; I also like to add feta when I feel *fancy*. Sometimes, I get an extra order of just hummus since it's truly my favorite hummus ever. Their chicken sandwich is amazing, but I always need extra white garlic sauce to go with. I also really like their falafel (in sandwich form too), and I think it pairs best with their tahini. I have a friend who swears their tzatziki is the best, so if you need sauce, they will sauce you right.I prefer ordering online because their website is wicked user-friendly, but make sure you pay attention to the times. I've ordered prior to 8 (over an hour before close) and just assumed that it was fine, then read the confirmation more closely and saw that it would be ordered/delivered the next day after opening. Not a them issue, I'm sure, but something to bear in mind.

I’ve eaten at Yassin’s for years, loved their food and really like Yassin’s story and causes. First time I’ve ever had a bad experience here. Added a half veggie plate for my wife’s dinner and they slapped 4 pieces of “veggies” on top of the order. I’ve orders this dish a 100 times for my wife, have never felt scammed like this for the add on. Asked the manager about it and only got attitude in return. Had to buy a full side of veggies and wait while the rest of the food got cold. Once she realized I’d come back to pay extra AGAIN she offered to comp the extra side while still trying to explain to me why I was “wrong”, but if it takes 3 times to do right by the customer, that’s 2 times too many. We’ll visit other local places for dinner for a while before seeing if this location gets better. Be wary if you walk in while they’re busy, they might get a little complacent. The girl who took my orders was very nice.

Ask for cut in half. Not! Asked for extra sauce, didn't even get what was normal! Onions, feta and tomatoes were cut way to BIG! I eat a lot at the downtown location and never had a problem. I was so disappointed ?

If I'm driving through Knoxville, I'm picking up Yassin's. Everything is delicious, but I love that it has "spicy" options for the menu items - that is perfect for my whole family. I came for the falafel but have really enjoyed the entire menu. The baba ganoush is a particular favorite. If you are a big garlic fan, this is for you, too!

Food here is decent…4/5 might be stretching it compared to most of the Mediterranean Ive had but it’s not bad.I have made it a habit of mine to look for the best baklava everywhere I go in the world and that is the one thing I will say is downright terrible. 1/5 on the baklava, would not recommend nor is it refrigerated.Honestly the environment could be better but it’s a casual spot.The real reason for 3 stars is that they serve the food in plastic containers even for dine-in orders. I typically dine in specifically to avoid eating out of plastic.I won’t be an internet crusader here but plastic exposure isn’t good for people and putting hot food in it is even less good for you. Not to mention incredibly wasteful. In top of serving every meal in plastic they aren’t even recycling it and just have trash cans around the restaurant.I just generally do expect places to be doing better for humanity by now in 2024 and I hope they improve some of these things

Yassin's has us hooked! Discovered through Uber Eats, the plant-based shawarma bowl is so good – vegan protein with rice, tahini, and hummus. It's filling, and doesn't leave us feeling guilty, possibly due to their use of peanut oil. Consistently great quality food.

Gyro and chicken plate were great. Pita was soft and warm, but the baklava is the show stopper!
I've ordered from Yassin's before but it had been quite awhile and this was my first time trying this location. I saw that they had added a plant-based Shawarma sandwich to their menu. I'm so glad I tried it, it was absolutely delicious! Hearty, filling, and flavorful - much tastier and a better value than the vegan shawarma from that "formerly all vegan" place downtown.
