This is one of the worst Kroger stores I have ever been to. The whole place smells weird and reminds me of the "before" segment of an antidepressant commercial. I used to live within walking distance of this store and drove to the Kroger in Smyrna to do my shopping.

I have been living in the LaVergne area over seven years the Kroger here is horrible. Over the years I've seen staff come and go. I feel sorry for the seniors there that has dedicated there many years to a grocery store chain that does not care! However the management team needs to be terminated. I see them doing nothing for the staff that works there especially those that have been there for many years. Kroger it's self should be ashamed! This company does not seem to care about the employees that worked so hard for this grocery store chain. The cleanliness of the store is another issue that is the main reason why I do not go to the store. Once again that falls on management. But then again what staff would want to work there and make minimum-wage and those that have been there for over 20 years only making $11 an hour. So what does Kroger expect? I've seen a very bad decline in staff that works there as well. I know a lot of people there just by passing and I feel sorry that this grocery store chain does not care for its employees that work hard for that agency. That is why I don't shop there anymore.

Recently moved into the area and was in need for some groceries to stock up my new place. I used yelp to find nearby places and stumbled upon this Kroger. I had completely forgotten that the Kroger store brand is nation wide and I was already a member of the rewards program from my last store. It gave me a sense of calm as I was able to walk into the store and recognize it as being the same as my previous store. This made navigating the store much easier and I instantly felt at home. I was able to get everything on my list (and more). The staff is super friendly. The store was clean and easy to get around with a cart. I will be marking this down as my go to store from now on.

I do not understand how Kroger has let this location go so far down the drain. Starting when you pull into the parking lot you see trash and litter. Walking into the store are employees sitting to the right of the store smoking. The cart Coral has trash all over the store along with trash in the carts. Once in the store you notice that the floors look like they haven't been cleaned in ages. The selection of goods is just sad. The produce department is a laughing joke. Service during checkout is ridiculously slow. The busiest time of the day had two lanes opened. I live five minutes away from the store and I choose to drive to the Kroger in Smyrna which is an extra 10 miles away. Kroger either needs to do something with this store or completely shut it down. I believe it is a health risk at this point.

3 weeks ago I bought 2 packages of 80/20 hamburger. Cooked one that day, sort of tough, put the other one on the bottom tray to use later. Today,after 3 weeks, it's as red as the day I bought it. Just can't be. Should have turned brown. Something is wrong with your meats. Thinking of having this package checked out. Will never buy meats of any kind again there.

Two years ago, I would have given this Kroger a score of 5 but in the last 24 months it has declined. I have to carefully check expiration dates on food. The latest was more than 10 Carb Master yogurts with an expiration date of December 20, 2017. My shopping date was January 12, 2018. I like this Kroger in LaVergne. It's not as big as some other stores that I've been to in the area. That makes my shopping go much faster.

BE CAREFUL!! As the La Vergne Kroger does NOT rotate their stock and remove Out of Date Items!!!! On Sunday February 12th,2017 I accidently bought a 6 pack of Kroger brand Vitamin Enhanced Water Beverage, Orange Starfruit. The heavy plastic wrap around the 6 pack covered the bottles, but you could still read the date { normally I'm so careful with everything that I buy in this location! I know this Kroger's history } The Sell Buy Date is October 12th,2016!! WTH?? !! Then the cashiers act like its a total inconvenience to check me out ! I will drive over to the Sam Ridley Parkway Kroger from now on, since there are NO grocery stores in La Vergne.
I mainly shop overnight and there's an Asian lady there who is an absolute doll. Very personable and willing to help. Never had any issue and will continue to shop here.
