Each soup on the menu is worth the drive alone. My favorite is the Waldorf (basically a crab bisque loaded up with actual crab), but don't sleep on the gumbo or MD crab soup, both of which are great.

I enjoy the staff they are very friendly and always greet you with a warm welcome. I've tried the wings, pizza they have on the menu and the shrimp and grits which they only have on Sundays but it's my absolute fave. Definitely give it a try when your in the Madison area.

My food was soooo good! I went Friday and I'm still thinking about it several days later. I ordered the crab cakes, corn on the cob and broccoli. Everything was cooked perfectly and my crab cakes were so moist. The staff was super friendly and professional. They greeted us at our table (I wasn't expecting that at all), provided samples of their soups, and our food came out fast and fresh. I highly recommend this place and will be back! I ate my food too fast to post haha

I brought my family for the first time tonight and it was fabulous. Nikki was so friendly and helpful ( very hospitable ). We will be back and will tell all our friends.

Absolutely amazing! Yummy food, great service and wonderful atmosphere. Food was quick and wow is it fresh! Only reason I didn't give a full five is because I wish they served alcohol...I guess that's not their fault.

You need to stop here the next time you're in Nashville. Blue Crab Shack is amazing and won't disappoint! Don't let the photos on the menu fool you. One entree is more than enough. I ordered two and took one home.

Blue Crab Shack The'Ville is Nashville's best and newest kept secret. The food is amazing and the service impeccable. My daughter and I had the shrimp tacos and crab cake platter. The most flavorful and fresh seafood I've ever had!

The food(Chef Lisa is amazing) and the atmosphere was fun and relaxing(Nicki handles the front of house and makes you feel like an old friend). It's a bit of a hike from Murfreesboro (about 30 mins) but well worth the drive! I recommend everyone try this authentic Maryland based cuisine. The Crab based soups (made from scratch) are the best we've ever had in all our travels. You will love it! We will surely be going back very soon!

Great food! Service was great. We were blue crab newbies and the owner gave us a lesson on how to eat them. We ordered crab balls / crab dip / grilled shrimp salad / The Dunbar platter - all were great.

The owners are great and humble people #1 the food,.... well lets just say its beyond good. !! Crab balls are to die for . Highly highly recommend stopping here. The building may not be fancy ...but with food like this it doesn't need to be!!

When you pull up to Chef Lisa crab shack, you are arriving at one of the best seafood places I’ve ever ate. Be patience because the food is worth the wait! We got the blue crab nacho to start, and they were amazing. For the entrees, we had shrimp, crab cakes, salmon wrap, crab balls, and everything was just fantastic. Make sure to try the soups as well because they are incredible! The portions are plenty and you will definitely get full! Worth every penny! Keep up the great work Chef Lisa!

My boyfriend and I came here for lunch to support a black-owned business. I read the previous reviews about this place but after visiting it, I give it a solid 3.5 stars. Service: as soon as we walked in, we were greeted by Nikki. I want to give her props as she was very friendly and made this place feels like family place. She gave us her recommendations, and even brought out some samples of their soups, which was thoughtful. Food: I ordered the crab cake platter. It came with crab cake, broccoli and half pound shrimp. The crab cake was ahhh-mazing. You can tell the crab was FRESH. It woke the zodiac sign in me (I am a cancer baby). The broccoli was boiled, and wasn't to my liking. I prefer my veggies a bit crunchy. The shrimp was seasoned with Cajun seasoning. Once you removed the shells, the shrimp itself is left without much seasoning in it. That's a bit of a bummer. The blue crab chips were good tough. Now onto the negative... Environment: the place was empty as most people order take out . We decided to dine-in. Our table had sticky surface, which means the cleanliness needs to be improved. Also they ran out of straws so had to drink straight from the cup... not a big deal, but great service is in the details. Now it's a bit on the pricey side ($31 for the crab cake platter) but considering the crab cake had fresh crab and was tasty, I can understand it...since we get what we paid for.

If you're looking for good, quality seafood this is the spot! Everything on the menu is delicious! Service is always friendly and professional. Love the ladies that work the counter. My personal favorites include the crab balls which are super rich, crab fried goodness. And don't forget the dipping sauce! Also the Blue Crab nachos are great to snack on. Now for entrees: the catfish po boy is the best I've had! The fish is alway fried perfectly and seasoned just right. The bread used for the po boy is divine! Definitely give it a try if it's on the menu. The crab cakes on the crab cake platter are TRUE Maryland crab cakes! Truly mouth watering. This is always a must stop spot whenever I am in Nashville. Check out their lunch and Sunday specials. Some menu items are only sold on Sundays.

As a Baltimore native, I had given up on anything that claims to be Maryland-style crab in Nashville. Nevertheless, we checked out the Shack last night for dinner. Crab cakes are spot-on Maryland! Sides are very good and the staff are delightfully friendly and helpful. I can't believe I'm saying this, but the chips are better than Utz. (Your B'more folks will know what I mean.) I'll be back soon to check out the steamed crabs. This place is a gem right here in Madison.
