We have visited the restaurant three times since discovering it a few months ago. Great menu selection and the traditional Mexican decor you would expect. Not on the menu are their brisket tacos and sometimes this special is posted on their sign outside. If they have the brisket in the kitchen they will make the tacos for you during the times when it's not posted as a special. They will also give you the "lunch special" price of 3 brisket tacos for $7.99 if you come during lunch hours. This is my favorite item at the restaurant and the best deal!! We've also tried the cheese enchiladas (not my favorite), chili relleno, rice and beans, salads, margaritas, flautas/tacquitos. Sadly the cheese enchiladas are NOT prepared the way we are used to on the west coast and that is the case with all of the Mexican restaurants in the area. Also, we wish their salsa was more of a fresh pico de gallo type. The second time we visited the restaurant the server charged us the à la cart prices for everything including the brisket tacos without mentioning we could've saved a lot more money ordering as combination plates or lunch specials. The price difference was $55 vs $26 for 2 people for the same exact order!! Now we know. That's why we are giving 4 and not 5 stars. Besides that we have no complaints. There is a Maryville location which we have not tried yet. Definitely come and visit El Jimador!

I just had a terrible experience. I had a to go order and I saw it sitting on a table where my server left it for 10- 15 minutes so I got angry and walked out and suddenly the manager came out to my car saying "u got to go order" so clearly he knew it was mine but didn't care about getting to me either! I voiced my anger about it sitting there so long and he just walked away like I wasn't talking. I should have been taken better care of than that I come here at least once a week but I won't ever be back!

We get Mexican food every time we travel but nothing has ever been this good. The queso fundido with shrimp was amazing! Also the super nachos were amazing. Highly recommend!

My wife and I have been going here since they opened, the food is great.The app they make you use to do a pickup order is a scam though. Everything is(or was at the time I attempted to order) priced higher than the menu when you go in to eat. If I'm going to pay the same amount either way then I'll come get free salsa and chips, and drink refills. That extra money can go to the servers tip then.

Riding thru town and stopped for lunch. The place is very nice inside. The staff was very friendly and I was seated right away. The parking lot was very full so it seemed to be popular. I had the steak tacos (3) and charro beans. Both were delicious.

I had steak fajitas most of it was green peppers what steak was in was burnt.
The food was really good, and the interior was fantastic. The food flavors were balanced and had big portions, so there's tomorrow's lunch. I really loved how colorful and artistic the furniture was. Overall it was a very comfortable environment and the cooks did a great job with the food. The only downside is that the service was a little bit slow. It could be because it was a dinner rush so I'll give it 3/5 for a middle ground. But I will recommend this place if anyone is in the mood for Mexican food.
