The food is very good here, always quality. Recently the portions have gotten smaller but I believe it's because they don't get enough business here, but friendly staff and I highly recommend the chicken hibachi. Please go here!

This is absolutely one of the worse or the worse Teppanyaki experience in Memphis. When I saw the location, that was a dead giveaway that it was going to end badly for me. Nevertheless, I wanted udon noodles and most places around here don't carry them on the teppanyaki menu. I should've followed my first thoughts. They don't have filet and I was told that the steak is ribeye. I highly doubt it but if it is, it's the lowest grade. I asked for it to be medium well and the chef overcooked it and it was dry. The noodles were drowned in teriyaki and black pepper. The fried rice was more like scrambled eggs because there was much more of that than rice and the rice that was there was drowned in butter. The veggies were barely grilled before being dropped on our plates. They're so cheap, the soda is water downed as well. I had to opt for water. They automatically add 18%. I should've made the drive to Collierville and just did without the noodles. Now I'm still hungry ad it was so disgusted, I left 95% of it on the plate. If you are accustomed to high quality hibachi experiences, this isn't it. You will be disappointed. Notice that I really tried to give it a chance and ordered extra noodles!

Almost 200$ for disgusting food. Skip this place. Everything we had was nasty. We left with a table full of food because it all was disgusting. Wish we would have went to the jason deli next door.

Came for hibachi show. Was less than impressed with the show during the meal. The portions of steak given for the cost of the meal were meager and overcooked. Items were cooked in the wrong order and had to ask the chef for the sauces that are normally laid out prior to cooking. Was disappointed in the service and food. A better experience can be had for similar money elsewhere.

Not worth the price! The Seaweed salad was basically just cucumbers for $6. There was only the slightst pinch of Seaweed ontop. The chicken portion I got was only 7 small pieces for $14!! Obserdly overpriced for a spot trying to be fancy. Really, nothing special. Don't even bother.

Been coming here for years. They are always accommodating and friendly. Recently celebrated my son's 18th birthday here with a party of over 10. We were treated nicely and very entertained by the cooks. Will always be back here.

When I'm for lunch at 1pm, got drinks and no service afterwards. Waited 15 minutes and then we told lady, she act like she didn't care. So we got up and left. Will not return

Thankfully after a miserable experience at Nagasaki this evening Atan came thru for the win. There hibachi is my go to and keeps me coming back.
I have eaten at A-Tan since childhood. Classic American Chinese restaurant, it’s not so fancy but quite good. Quiet and relaxing atmosphere, and takeout is also an option. Many items are delicious, including Kung Pao Shrimp, General Tso Chicken, and Tangerine Beef; their Hot and Sour soup is locally believed to relieve some cold and flu symptoms.Vegetarian options: There are a few vegetarian options, I’ve liked a bean curd dish but I usually get meat.Parking: Several spots in the Plaza area; I can usually find one less than 20 feet from the door.

We have been going to A Tan for years. Tonight will be the last until my memory fades. New management = higher prices, lesser service (two meals ordered; one arrived 10 minutes after the other). The new receipts do not tell what was on the bill - ?!?!?! BUT they DO add 18% automatically. Maybe if you stay away they will get the message. We hope.

We ordered spring rolls that was so disgusting I will never go back to this place you can't spend 150 dollars for something that is not good we ordered chicken and shrimp and they gave us a plate full of peanuts with potato it was just not pleasant for anyone

The chef was rude when reading our orders back to us. The hibachi grill was nasty with old food in the cracks. I will NEVER visit again. Stay
