Finally visited Ashtar Gardens and I’m so glad I did. First and foremost, the music was great! The staff and owner were very welcoming and professional. The waitress was attentive and our food came out fast. I was torn between many options but I chose the Dirty bird ( three wings and waffle). It was flavorful, fresh, and delicious. I enjoyed my watermelon mimosa as well. Next time, I’ll get there early enough to enjoy the backyard seating options.

Okay so been wanting to try the place since i heard about it a year or so ago. I went with 2 other people around 115pm on a Saturday. A line was outside but it was moving pretty fast. Was told by the security/host (yes, he was both) to put my name, number, and number of people in my party on a list and they would call. Seeing as the line was long we went to our cars since they said they’d call.. went up there after about 30-35 minutes after we were told they’d call because no call received and there weren’t many before us. I went back to my name being crossed out and no phone call. So we let him know, and still end up waiting 30 more minutes for a table smh. I love the atmosphere but they should really consider converting what I guess is their waiting area into more seating space. They don’t even serve drinks at the bar in the area while we wait. Now for the food and drink.. the peach Bellini mimosa was good. My friends got strawberry and liked theirs too. They enjoyed the shrimp and grits and the chicken and waffle plate. I ordered the fish and grits with a waffle on the side. The food is amazing y’all lol but the service and space ain’t there yet. Also, I was so mad that they gave me one small piece of fish in the middle of a big a** plate of grits for $22. Overall, it was cool but need some tweaking for sure

We waited over 45 mins for an order of shrimp and grits and fish tacos Then once the shrimp dish arrived for 23 dollahs it was about 4 spoonfuls of grits some type of salty gravy and 6 shrimp seasoned like how a cold wood and like they were steamed nasty The pineapple mimosa had no bubbles and was mostly juice for 8 Then we sat mostly ignored doing the horrendous wait yet a20% gratuity is added to the bill as a standard I don’t know how these ratings are generated but it was so bad I literally took time and intention to inform the public that Ashtar may look cute but that is absolutely all it’s got going for it Do not waste your money or time here We will not be coming back and strongly recommend you try some other dining experience

Poor Experience. My family and I went here to celebrate my birthday. We arrived at 2pm and were initially told it would be a 45min wait. Well we ended up waiting 2 hours after constantly being reassured that a table was almost ready. Once we were finally seated and starving we were then informed that MOST of the menu was SOLD OUT! Why seat us?? Hate I had to experience this on my special day.

Tried to contact this place for weeks to find correct hours, etc. bc of various website contradictions. I called... phone rings 1x and disconnects. One listed number no longer in service. Email - no response. Finally made reservations on opentable. My friends really want to see this place. My feeling, hope it's worth it. Will review the food if we get there but trying to get there has been more than frustrating. IT SHOULDN'T BE THIS HARD!!
