Our experience was good, but not stellar. Our food was extremely slow in arriving, and the quality wasn’t great. For the price and time we waited, I expected better.

Still closed. Neon sign is still on, but no one was home. Went looking for breakfast in a Saturday morning, but was disappointed to see it wouldn’t happen here.

This place is closed today. They need to update information because out of towners rely on the info on Yelp. Drove to the place because of the rating just to find out it's closed. We wasted our time. I just a rating otherwise I cannot post my comments.

This place is closed until further notice but we found a nice deli right beside it. River Time Market and Deli had a great breakfast and the owners are SUPER nice!

This place is closed until further notice. They have not done a very good job of updating the various social media sites. Luckily we found Automatic Slims.

The Court Ave location is temporarily closed. The Poplar Ave location 18 miles away is still open. However, the River Time Market and Deli next door is excellent!

We ordered through Grubhub, and the food was delicious! The locals who were working in lobby of hotel when we had this delivered said they were very jealous - that it was one of their favorites! There was more food than we could eat and it was all delicious!

Blue Plate was closed. I didn't get to eat there, was very disappointed about that. Had a great time in Memphis. It would have been better, if it had not been for covid-19.

My husband and I visited this great establishment. We had to wait about 30 minutes for a table. It was worth the wait. The food was great and I enjoyed the warm & friendly atmosphere. We had an awesome waiter, Katrina, great customer service. The food was really great. It made you feel as if you was having breakfast at your grandmother's house in the county. My husband and I truly enjoyed our visit here. We thanked the hotel clerk for suggesting this restaurant to us. It was a rainy day, but the visit was worth the walk and wait. Thank you Blue Plate Cafe for making our experience a great one. GOD bless this establishment and the employees always. Excellent place to visit!

We went there but they are closed until further notice. No review to leave only that our next choice of the Arcade restaurant was not a good choice.

Ate here on a Sunday in December. Had to wait 10 mins for a table to come about, busy restaurant. Server was friendly and helpful. Food was good. I ordered the Country Fried steak, hash browns and poached eggs. All were good, although the portion size was small. About $14 to eat and have e a coffee so not too bad.

I work downtown and this was my first time ordering lunch from Blue Plate. The first time I called today I was placed on hold by someone who sounded frazzled. Five minutes later no one picked up so I figured I’d been forgotten about, I was correct. I called back and another lady answered and took my order with promptness and courtesy. When I arrived to pickup, I was not greeted. Instead, I was blessed with witnessing a visibly and audibly frazzled lady attempting to do math out loud and emphatically, loudly apologizing to a large order customer about how her ticket was wrong (the lady who forgot I was on hold). During this time I counted two times the phone rang, the caller was asked to hold, and was forgotten about. Glad I wasn’t the only one. A few minutes later another woman dropped what she was doing and took over the front counter. I was promptly greeted and asked to wait upstairs until my name was called so that people would not clog the entryway. This is the same woman that took my order the second time I called, and she deserves a raise. While I waited up stairs I was again blessed with the frazzled lady’s telephone conversation about the erroneous large ticket and her intermittently blaming all of her troubles on her boss. Who knew that entertainment was included with lunch!? After a ten-minute wait, my name was called. I paid a very reasonable sum for my lunch and left. The food is average. I’ll go back for the breakfast sometime.Should you eat here? Yes. Just plan for an adventure and don’t set your expectations too high. I wish I knew the name of the African American lady that took my take out order. She’s doing the work of three people and should be retained/promoted.If I were the owner/manager of this establishment, I’d keep an eye on frazzled lady and consider placing her in a position of lower stress. No one wants to see someone having a nervous breakdown at lunch.

Really amazing place!! it's a really cute building with art on the walls and eccentric decor and it's just a really interesting place. they encouraged proper social distancing and were vigilant about proper mask wearing which I appreciated a lot. the food was really good and the service was great, our waitress was Katrina and she was very nice and thoughtful and made the whole experience even better. definitely recommend going here!!
