The ribs fell off the bones! Just what I went to Memphis for! I sat at the counter! Sauce was very good so I bought some!

TERRIBLE SERVICE!!! I wasn't even able to order because they were un prepared!! DURING BLACK HISTORY MONTH IS CRAZY! If anything this store needs to be shut down. They don't know how to treat people or their time. I'm sure the food wasn't even all that. Ambiance was bad as well.

Sort of good. Sometimes one feels as though they've served you yesterday's leftover ribs rather than dig out the moist ones prepared today. At $37/slab, I expect perfection every time. Is the occasion important to you? Go to Corky's instead.

Great food every time I visit! The smokey wings are my favorite. I also love their nachos!

The wet rub ribs were delicious. The service was good and fast and the ambiance was nice and cozy. It was self service and order at the register.

Pulled chicken was a little dry but the full rib platter was amazing! Service was prompt. Ambiance was spacious and simple.

I so wanted to like this place. I ordered the lunch portion of brisket which comes with one side, I had mac & cheese, and a Coke. $23.00 Sadly, the brisket was dry, and they put so much of the medium barbecue sauce on it, you would think I was eating barbecue soup. The mac & cheese was just mediocre at best. They used really bland cheese with no seasoning.

Great food & atmosphere. Got the smoked bologna & coleslaw sandwich w/ baked beans. 10/10. Will be back.

Iconic Memphis BBQ. After driving to 3 locations, we could only find one location that looked like a functioning restaurant. It was near downtown in the shadow of the Lorraine Motel where Martin Luther King was killed and the Civil Rights Museum stands. Don’t let it’s appearance fool you. Inside is rustic and has some down home REALLY GOOD EATIN!

Central BBQ in Memphis is a BBQ lover's dream, serving up smoky, flavorful dishes that will leave you craving more.

We're from out of state and wanted Memphis BBQ this restaurant had great reviews. The brisket was good, not great. The coleslaw was tasteless, I didn't eat it. The brisket sandwich tasted like a subway sandwich, nothing special. The woman who took my order got it wrong and when I pointed it out she told me that was how I ordered it and blamed me!!! Look, maybe you heard me wrong or just messed up my order but you correct it and make the customer happy. You don't blame them for your mistake. Wow, unbelievable. We have better bbq in Wisconsin. Not sure why this place gets such good reviews. On the upside the decor was cute but the place was a little dirty.

The hostess was very welcoming and knew what to recommend if you never been there. The atmosphere was very welcoming. It was cafeteria style sitting. I sat outside and listen to the two wonderful men sing. The food came quick and was very tasty. It just didn’t capture that signature Memphis barbecue taste. It was a great stop right before visiting the Loraine Motel. It is a good place to meet friends and catch up.
