Don't let the location or the interior fool you. This is a no frills, no non-sense kind of place. The owner wasn't the friendliest either, but the cheesecake. Oh My, my my. I cannot say enough about how good it was. Definletey worth the time to get there and the trouble of waiting in line. Locals know the place and that was the only reason we found it.

If you have thick skin and do not mind being cursed at when you are looking for a place to have dessert, this is your place. To say it was an experience is an understatement, and the cheesecake was not what others had hyped up. I think there are other places in Memphis that reflect the city and the community better.

Been going there for years. Was never a disappointment even the coffee was good. The last two times this year, neither slice was flavorful. Tasted like cold clumped sugar. Hate it because I loved supporting local business.

I have heard so much about this place and when I first moved to Memphis (5 years ago) I was told I had to try it because of my enjoyment of cheesecake and my desire to support black owned businesses. Well I woke Saturday with a string desire for cheesecake. First thing that popped in my mind was cheesecake factory but then I remembered the cheesecake corner and decided today would work to give it a try. I arrived around 4:40p only to find a note saying it would open today at 5p..Fine. that didn't bother me so I waited. 5p rolled around and the line has started forming (which I was warned). Finally at about 5:15p the owner opened the door. I was 3rd in line and excited since it was my first visit. The 1st customer gave his order as the owner was positioning behind the cheesecakes. Next I know the owner is aggressively telling the customer to hold up. Then he says rudely some other stuff. The customer never changed composure and continued with his order. When I reached the counter I asked about the pineapple cheesecake (which i.heard the first customer order). The owner rudely said "what are you talking about . What are you saying" . I explained again and then he rudely replied that the guy had bought the last one. I got my order and got out of there probably knowing at that point I wouldn't be back. I got the praline pound cheesecake and a regular slice with strawberry glaze. I didn't really like the pound one and the regular one was good but not "GREAT" as I had heard and expected. My immediate thought was that I should have went to cheesecake factory. Even if the dessert had been the best I ever had I highly doubt I would have gone back anyway. I don't patron places where my $ isn't appreciated even if the vendor looks like me. When I came to work and told my coworkers (one who suggested it) of my experience he was not surprised and stated that he told me of the owners poor customer service. It is sad sad sad that this is a know (and accepted) behavior of this place (as other reviews have documented also). I can't worry about what others choose to do but as for me, i.may decide one day to give him another try but right now I won't be back!!!

Owner is rude, first time there I thought maybe he had a bad day or whatsoever. I gave his business another chance, same thing. He's rude, definitely NOT welcoming and I just think that's part of his personality. The portions of the cheesecake are way too small to charge $9+. I paid $24 for 2 cheesecakes that weren't the same size at all. I'll just stick to Cheesecake Factory.

LOVE! LOVE! LOVE! The best cheesecake I have had out in Memphis. Have tried just about all the different kinds and this place is great for a nice casual outing or date night to enjoy a sweet treat indoors/outdoors.

Found this little gem by accident and so very glad I did. The owner is super pleasant and every cheesecake looked so good, so it was hard to decide which ones I wanted. I ended up choosing the Lemon Pound Cake Cheesecake and the Pineapple Coconut Cheesecake. The Cheesecake Factory has NOTHING on these cheesecakes here at the Cheesecake Corner. That man can make a cheesecake!! I highly recommend stopping in here if you are in Memphis. I know I will most definitely be back. 10/10 hands down!!!

The Cheesecakes are just ok ! But the owner is very rude and unprofessional. The sign says open at 4:00 but he still let certain customers in (perhaps they are friends) but then he started telling everyone else they close til 6:00pm. Some have said he racist to his own kind but I hope that's not true ! It's just sad that businesses are just not the same anymore especially since Covid . But this guy has always rude, and it's okay I'm sticking to The Cheesecake Factory for sure for now on . This isn't the first time something like this has happened while visiting here ...

Lived here my entire life and never knew it was here. Forget Cheesecake Factory. This place is much better by far. Plus it's local which is amazing.

A very odd atmosphere. When we went it was later at night, and they had all of the lights off behind the counter. They only let a certain number of people inside at a time and then they let more people in once the line gets small. You aren't supposed to go in on your own. The cheesecakes were like 9.50, and weren't particularly great. They were good enough, but I felt a little disappointed given how much we'd paid for them. The blackberry was the best we tried. The strawberry glazed had a weird chemically taste. If you really want cheesecake it's worth going, but I think I wish I would have tried a different dessert place.

Cheesecake is amazing! Super fun to take out of town guests here too! We aren't talking about Cheesecake Factory in these parts! Get there before the cheesecake runs out & be ready to stand in line on weekends!

I've been coming to CC for years. I used to work across the street when American Apparel was still there. They have absolutely amazing cheesecake, like the best I've ever had and that's not exaggerating. Plenty of flavors to choose from as well. You know when you go somewhere and it's so great but then you're weary when you go back the next time, it won't be? This isn't that kind of place. LOL. The only downfall is sometimes their customer service isn't the best and a few times they've sold out (understandably) and close early with no warning (which sucks after driving all the way downtown). Aside from that, I love this place.

We stopped in for some cheesecake after having walked by before they opened for the day. The selection was lovely. The cake tasted great. We parked down the road and walked up. Not sure if there's a lot for the store. Cute neighborhood of Memphis.

it's been awhile since I've been here but stopped by this evening while downtown and as usual it didn't disappoint! We got the strawberry daiquiri, blueberry and peaches n cream and all were delicious!! I have been coming here for 7-8 years and this is still my favorite place to get cheesecake. I always have had good and pleasant service when i have been here. This is definitely a place to check out if you're looking for a yummy dessert and also supporting a local small business.

Go here for overpriced $10/slice cheesecake and poor service. We came in to pick some up after reading about it, we ordered and then a friend of the guy behind the counter came in with his family and from then on we were invisible except for taking our money of course.
