Five stars all around!!! Staff was AMAZING, super friendly and patient while we decided what to order. We went with the K.C. Melt and after we finished eating it we ended up ordering two more to go!! The meat was tender and delicious. The Philly melt was just okay, wouldn’t recommend that one. But the meat was still really good inside just different than expected.
Finally made it to Elwood’s Shack and was pleasantly impressed with my visit. I was a little taken aback by the final price of our food for lunch (2 drinks, 1 sandwich, 1 hotdog, fries) being $41 but the serving size were great and we didn’t even finish our meals. Hopefully we’ll make it back!

Updated again: went back and had a meatball sub and it was amazing. Service was super friendly as well.Updated review, got the debris po boy and im quite confused on how this go sandwich of the year. Dried out roast beef on stale bread is not what i waa expecting. Definitely a black eye kn what were awesome experiences in the past.

This neighborhood eatery has the tastiest sandwiches, wings, and burgers.
Stopped there for lunch on a Sunday while visiting from out of town. Service was good. I had a rib plate with slaw and beans. The ribs were overcooked (fell off the bone way too easily and the bones were chewy). The flavor of the ribs was decent, though. The slaw and beans both tasted like store bought. Don't know if they were, but they were pretty meh.

It’s always bittersweet when you find an amazing restaurant while on a road trip. On one hand, you’re happy to have had the great experience, but on the other you’re sad because you don’t know when (if ever) you’ll be able to come back. I loved everything about our stop at Elwood’s Shack. The food was phenomenal, the service was great, and the locals were friendly. What an incredible place!
