Great food, good location, nice atmosphere. The music is great - but generally too loud to carry on a conversation (so it's not ideal for a date if there's a band playing. Check ahead). Probably my favorite place to eat in Overton Square.

We came in thinking we would have a nice Sunday brunch. However, the music is so loud you cannot hear well enough to have a conversation with anyone at your table. I understand that on normal music days, or nights, the loud music is expected. I wonder if everyone at Sunday brunch would agree with the volume.

Do not book Lafayette Music Room through Open Table!!! We booked over a month in advance and were confirmed for dinner for 7 on vacation. I called to see if we could move up our reservation to earlier to find out they don't use Open Table anymore. Management made no effort to accommodate our confirmed reservation or apologize for the inconvenience due to a $20 ticketed event that night. Fortunately, we ate at Central BBQ instead which was delicious! Cannot comment on food, value, or noise (but required on OpenTable for review).

This place is amazing! The food is delicious, the vibes are great and the staff are warm and welcoming. The live music was top notch and the whole experience was very nostalgic- I felt like I’d gone back in time to the big band/swing era. I would definitely visit again if I ever find myself in Memphis. Highly recommend.

We celebrated my birthday and the staff and food were amazing! I have not had much success getting a good salmon meal and that was it!! You can check out my plate and that says it all. Thank you all for a beautiful birthday dinner and for turning the volume down a little bit on the band.

No part of our experience was negative so I gave 5 stars. Pretzel is huge but very good. Chopped salad was really good and my husbands burger was great! We went around lunch time when it's not busy and no bands. Best time to take kids. Music videos playing were fun!
