The restaurant was laid back and not too busy. We could communicate with our waiter about our needs. This burger was delicious! They didn't offer the preference of how the patty was cooked so I think it was well-done. French fries were crispy and additional salt is not needed.

It's in our block. Service is steady and food is above average. It's a good go to when we don't want to cook. After lunch or before dinner is great. Otherwise, it's very loud.

I wouldn’t ever come back. 1.5 hr wait for blackened catfish and fried pork chops. We just took out to go once it was brought out.Flavor of the food was comparable to hospital food.

This place has gone to a new low. Bartender rude. Food terrible...skip this place. We went from regulars to I won't be back. Sad.

Salads were good but rather inconsistent in their preparation, Shwarama was very good with just the right amount of heat. Egg roll appetizer was superb. Atmosphere was pleasant and service was friendly but a bit inattentive.

The waiter and waitress were very friendly. The atmosphere was eclectic and cool. The food however was very lack luster. The menu was all over the place featuring different ethnic options. We tried a specialty cocktail (bittersweet symphony) it was good, the philly cheesesteak egg rolls for the appetizer and 2 different entrees. The eggrolls were ok, the entrees were just ok. I think it would be a good place for a drink but I wouldn't go for dinner again.

Out sightseeing and looking for a place to eat lunch, and the pictures of the food pulled me in! I was curious of the name, and the wonderful host Judy told me that it was for South of Beale. Meeting Judy when I came in the door was just the beginning of this wonderful experience! We discussed what a cool place it was, and how much she loved working there and taking care of her customers. Then Taylor came up to wait on me, and she continued the happiness of being there. After a little discussion, I went with the Duck Fried Rice, the picture of which was the thing that brought me to SOB. It did not disappoint, it was amazing! The entire lunch was just so pleasant, from the atmosphere, to the staff and then finally the food. I can’t wait to go back and try more things!

SOB always amazes me. From the nice aesthetics of the restaurant to the friendly quick service. I typically sit at the bar because they have a beautiful bar area. We went for brunch and were not disappointed. The bottle service allowed for about 6 drinks and was pretty cheap compared to other local restaurants. The food was delicious we had the eggrolls and duck fried rice to start off, and both were top tier. For entrees, we got the steak, eggs, breakfast potatoes and toast! Everything was good even the toast, and the price was unbeatable. We also tried the duck patty melt and it was better than expected , my husband LOVED IT! SOB is always a top tier experience with reasonable price. Will always patronize this business.

The service babe & I had were great! Our waitress, Shaunte, was very sweet and friendly! The food was very deliciously tasty. Babe had the Blackened Catfish and I had the Fried Pork Chops. The mimosas are ????...let me just say "order from the bar"!!!! The overall service is 5 ⭐
