Very casual atmosphere. Got the grilled cheese and it came out with ham slices and cheese squares grilled on buttered toast. Not a super fancy sandwich, but it tasted like comfort food and that’s what I needed.

Stone Soup is a house containing a restaurant where you can dine inside, outside in the front or in a patio out back. Standard menu and special items never disappoint. For example, the corned beef sandwich (+2 sides) is real corned beef. Here the chef does not serve you lunch meat and call it corn beef. All fish items are delicious. Cold salads on special are creative. For breakfast, the bacon is real bacon, not paper thin slices of bacon. Omelets are good, too. But the chocolate crepes are to die for! And desserts--you cannot get freshly baked cakes and pies anywhere else in Memphis area or surrounding area any better than those in the case. Try it; you'll love this place! The prices are very reasonable. You can visit a 5-star restaurant and find food of similar quality, but you will pay 4-5X more for it.

Not good at all. I've been before but the quality of food has drastically went down.

Cute little house with many things to look at. We tried the French Onion Soup and split the mushroom sandwich. The soup was delicious - very flavorful topped with yummy bread and melted cheese. Highly recommend- on the day that we were there it was served in a Dixie paper bowl- so presentation won’t woe you. I would not choose the mushroom sandwich again - it was not very flavorful. The bread though was great. We would definitely go back.

Stone Soup is one of my go to lunch/brunch spots. Keeping gluten free bread on hand is one way to win my loyalty.

A man came outside of this building after office hours and decided to blow leaves, dirt, and pollen in front of my children who were eating ice cream. He proceeded to ignore myself, my friend and my children’s presence and eventually asked us to move. A respectable human would’ve asked us to move at first. This is very much distasteful behavior and I’m grateful that witnesses reached out and stated that no one has done that to people who did not look like myself or my children. I will definitely be reporting this further.

1st love the old home it was in! The fresh bread grilled for toast was the best, hashbrowns were amazing... loved everything we ate!

Someone recommended this place and I'm so glad we went. I ordered the blueberry crepes and they were amazing! The place is really cozy overall. The only reason why I wouldn't give it 5 stars is because the waitress was pretty rude.

My family and I were traveling through Memphis on March 12 and were getting quite “hangry”. Usually we thoroughly research where we are going to eat, but we decided to park and walk until we stumbled upon something. After being rudely turned away by the first place we went, we walked across the street to Stone Soup Cafe. Let me preface this by saying that this place is adorable. It’s an old house that has been turned into an eating establishment that hosts both indoor and outdoor seating. Super cozy, super chill. We decided to eat inside where we were overwhelmed with so many yummy food options. We were all dying to try the Spicy Crawfish Bisque, so our waitress brought us some along with good ol cornbread. When I say that’s the best bisque we’ve all ever eaten, I’m not even lying. It was divine. Our meals were excellent too. Upon our arrival, there was an elderly couple dining outside. I noticed our waitress run out the door to give them their to-go box that they had accidentally left on the table. Of course this made my heart melt. Both the service and food were excellent, but what this establishment did beyond our dining experience speaks volumes. When we arrived home from our trip, I noticed I didn’t have my debit card. I sent Stone Soup Cafe a message on Facebook asking if I had left it there. They promptly responded, and after I provided them with some information, they mailed my card back to me along with a sweet note. I realize I could have just canceled it, but it was way more trouble than I wanted to go through. I'm sure everyone is in agreeance when I say trust isn't easy to have these days, but SSC is topnotch. If you're looking for excellence all around and a place that feels like home, DO NOT SLEEP ON THIS PLACE. We'll be making a 1.5 hour trip back very soon.

Stopped in for a quick bite, I had a grilled chicken sandwich with spinach and feta which was quite tasty. However, the side of potato chips from a bag served on paper plates from Sam's Club were not attractive. On the plus, the server was friendly and we got our order fast; I would recommend a try for good food with an extremely casual feel.

First time visit. Great breakfast. Quiche was a lil dry but it wasn't bad. I will DEFINITELY recommend this restaurant and will DEFINITELY go back.

The chili and grilled cheese was amazing! We got it to go but still received excellent service. Will definitely go back.
