Had an issue with our full order not being recieved by the kitchen so only half was ready at the time of pickup. Employee was kind and gave us a free cookie as an apology. Food isn't anything great, but did the job before hitting the road again. People with food allergies beware: overheard another customer order a blueberry muffin and got a banana nut one instead. The employee working the counter didn't know what flavors they were and gave the wrong information. As someone with a severe nut allergy, this is concerning.

I'm staying at the Hyatt and today I opted for a breakfast on the go experience. The food was good and I'll get to that. However, the most striking thing about my experience was the look of this place. It's got the coolest aesthetic. Not only a place to eat, but also a chill place to relax on the many leather sofas and other comfy seating. The music is just the right volume and adds to the fab atmosphere. I'm not sure why this place isn't packed with folks. It's the move if you want a place for simple food delights and maybe a cocktail. Back to the food, I ordered breakfast and it was tasteful and just enough food to refuel my body for the day--well until lunch, at least. If you are in the area, give this spot a shot as you move about your day. It's easy to get to as it's right on the corner and street level at Hyatt Caption. When you do, make sure to check out Karla. She's the best!

I enjoyed this place. I wandered in randomly on a Thursday. I got to hear the staff talk to the patrons. Seems like they had a few regulars to the hotel and everyone was really friendly! You can order with the bartender or the app. The ordered the Mac n cheese and Brussels Caesar. Both were good. The Mac n cheese was a bit different than I was expecting. It said it came with pork skin crust and bacon but my version came out with green peppers. It was still good and very cheesy. I enjoyed both dishes. The chef checked on me too. I enjoyed my drink which was a whiskey smash. The bartender was sweet. When I coughed she asked if I was okay :)Nice, chill place! Easy bar and dining option in downtown Memphis. Bonus— the unisex bathrooms are really nice!

Wonderful atmosphere, pool table, great seating, nice staff.... But the food was horribly underwhelming. Breakfast was overpriced and bland. They did say they were doing some kind of standard menu because of all the sports teams visiting, but that really didn't make much sense to me. Bar drinks were great quality though and the bartender was very friendly. Maybe get a specialty coffee here or a cocktail if you're visiting the Caption hotel, but everything else for me was a pass.

Had high hopes for this place - but unfortunately wasn’t great.Only one lady working and manager had to come help. Manager wasn’t sure on how to make coffees. Had to get my latte remade as it was undrinkable. Second latte was still not great.Food was average, my toast was burnt. However, Service was amazing !

Saturday morning for coffee and a bite. The bar is FULL of dirty plates left uncleared. Several other plates left uncollected at tables inside and on patio. Trash station stacked with dirty dishes and food. Barista couldn’t give two shi#s about being there. Food was cold because staff could not be bothered to check it was ready.Such a nice spot and great idea that is falling flat due to terrible staffing.Actually drove by over an hour later and the plates were still sitting on the patio tables. Date night, girl's night, late night chit-chat, Talk Shop is the place to be. It is connected to the Hyatt Centric Hotel!

New spot in Memphis located on the main level of the Hyatt Caption hotel (first in the world). Open space with a nice size beer garden patio. Lots of local beer on tap and a full bar. The food is on point as well. Unique concept. Definitely recommend when in Memphis. Pop in here for drinks and a light bite, and then head in the the Centrics Rooftop Bar

Good idea, but someone wasn't thinking when the outside area was designed. In addition to having to go inside to get your drink, your view is of a parking garage. Their wine selection is less than adequate. I think it's funny that they advertise a "make your own drink" option as something unusual. You can pick your own liquor, flavoring, and mixer at every bar in the world.
