If you have a desire for flavor this probably won't excite you. If you have a cabinet full of seasoning it won't either. Starter I ordered was gumbo. Me and my family make gumbo every year so I know what gumbo should taste like. I also have had the can gumbo and this is what it taste like. The shrimp were so tiny, definitely not the shrimp you would put in gumbo at home. We ordered a lot of food as this was the first stop for food after a 6 hour drive from Charlotte. The reviews had me fooled but I can see why. The catfish was fried well but it was super greasy The oysters were not fresh and were fried but were mushy or soggy in texture. Hush puppies were over cooked Oh my husband enjoyed his po boy And the beignets were very good. Must eat them while hot and fresh. A lot of room for improvement here. We spent maybe $100 for a party of 4 ‍

Great place and the food was very good. One of the best things about going to New Orleans is the food. Well, this is as close as we can get without making the trip. The staff was very friendly and courteous. We also sat outside and enjoyed the beautiful early fall weather. Overall, our family enjoyed and service are good enough reasons for me to rate this with 5 stars.

Being from Louisiana when we travel we are always a little skeptical of "Cajun " food establishments. The Lost Cajun did not disappoint. Food was great, the atmosphere was authentic. My family got multiple different dishes and all tasted great. Tasted like dishes from home. Would highly recommend.

Visiting for family vacation, been to New Orleans many times, this is as good as being there. People are friendly, the watermelon lemonade was wonderful. Authentic gumbo, great Gator Po’ Boy. Fried pickles were fresh and hot. Beignets are great! Place has the atmosphere of being in southern Louisiana. Will definitely be back on our next trip!

Hushpuppies with butter and the catfish bites were great. Friendly and efficient service and decent prices.

Before we ordered the owner greeted us and also helped us make our selections based on what our expectations were before walking in. We ordered the blackened redfish and the fried catfish plate. Both exceeded our expectations and we were more than happy to express our feelings with the owner and our waitress. Her service was also outstanding! We will definitely be back!

I like the spicy gumbo, but wish I could ask for it to be spicier. Next time I will ask. The Cajun Alfredo was delicious, and spiced just right. I hope to remember to bring the punch card on the next visit to build up to getting a free bowl of gumbo.

Food was delicious. I had the catfish and shrimp. Both were cooked perfectly and served hot! I love when my food comes to the table fresh and hot. The server was excellent. She was attentive and so very kind. A gentleman that was either the owner or manager stopped by the table to check on our experience. We enjoyed our meal and will definitely come back!

Food was good, server was great, staff was helpful and friendly. Manager however needs to smile more and be more personable. She seemed very unapproachable. Maybe she was having an off day, I don't know. Twice her responses were quite matter of fact and not cordial at all. The restaurant was not that busy so not sure why the mood was what it was. Might be back in the future as overall was worth the money.

We had an excellent dinner there. The blackened redfish Algiers was delicious. The Cajun shrimp cream sauce on it was excellent, spiced to perfection. The gumbo was good also. Good sized portions and our waiter was awesome. The beignet bites were perfect. This was our first time eatyhere but we will definitely be back.

Went on a whim because it was close to the hotel and I needed fresh southern fried catfish in my life. What a gem to find this place! The food was so fresh, the tea was great.. Tip: The cool waitress told me to get 1/2 sweet and 1/2 unsweetened tea since sweet tea there may be too sweet from North of the Madon Dixon line lol...she was right! The only thing I would recommend is that if you like your food crispy, you have to request it. I'll definitely be back next time I'm there.

Kylie gave us wonderful service. The food portion size and quality wasn’t very good though compared to another Cajun place I had recently tried (Spicy Boys in east Nashville for those interested)Shrimp and crawfish in all the etouffe and gumbos were Tiny- one portion only had 1 tiny shrimp in there. The Po Boy was pretty big I guess but overall the place didn’t really feel worth it at the end.
