Like in the US, Mexico has many regions and there are many differences in cooking and recipes.We didn't care for the food. I didn't eat mine. But the live music was great.Wouldn't go back.

The place’s name changed it’s called Toluca and the food has flavor!!! Ordered a plate of pozole and was great!!! Highly recommend this restaurant

Carmen's has gone downhill. My last dinner was served lukewarm and burnt. This place used to be very good. This is likely why the business has closed.

The chips and salsa were really good. I ordered the 2 soft tacos with ground beef. What I got were two soft tortillas filled with what looked like and tasted like a hamburger patty that was cooked on a grill. Absolutely no seasoning what so ever! They did not come on the plate so you could pick them up and eat them. They displayed them like an enchilada, very loosely wrapped. The service was less than average as well.

Very good menudo which includes pigs feet! Although some of the meat was not cut small enough which made for way too big of chunks.

My husband called this dumpster fire of a restaurant accidentally thinking it was Camino Real. At no point did the staff taking the call indicate that they did not have the menu items he ordered and took the order as he gave it. What we got was absolute garbage, we got 2 nasty beef chimmichangas with zero flavor or seasoning, that was more tortilla than beef filling. The cheese sauce was watery and had no flavor. We ordered the Real Dip and they gave us a cup of the watery cheese over beef and it had a good layer of grease on top. The beans look like someone took a dump on your tray, the rice was dry, and the owner should be ashamed of himself. We called to explain our issues and that the food we ordered was not what we got and no one bothered to try to correct my husband or say "We don't make that" so they just threw some crap together and charged us $50. The owner's response was that he had done nothing wrong and to stop trying to get "Free Sh!t". Do your self a huge favor and don't waste your money on this "Sh!t" when there are real restaurants out there with food that doesn't look like the contents of a septic system or have less flavor than a spoonful of all purpose flour.

Service was slow, there were several big parties in there. Meals did not come out together and one was completely wrong. By the time she got her food, the rest of us were done. They did discount their ticket by taking the price of her meal off. Food was good and entertainment was awesome.

We love Carmen's. Great service, reasonable drink prices, deliciously light chips with a tangy dip and fantastic variety of menu items. I don't know the name but tonight I had flour tortillas with huge shrimp, the typical lettuce, tomatoes and an awesome sauce, sprinkled with coconut.
