This place used to be a regular spot for my wife and I. The food and prices have always been great, especially the all you can eat sushi. However, since Covid, the restaurant has been in decline. Cleanliness, which was once a high point for Cathay, is now an afterthought. We arrived at 11am today and were the first patrons of the day. The floor was filthy and the bathrooms were some of the worst I’ve seen (and smelled). The worst offender today though was my Sushi menu, which was covered in mold. I understand dirty floors and bathrooms, but moldy menus? If these are cleaned every day, shouldn’t someone have caught this? Our food was good as it always is, but the mold on the menu was very off-putting.It is my hope that Cathay can recover and become great like it used to be.

I have visited several times. The food is good, not the best, but good. What helps keep this popular is that it's affordable and offers a good variety, including a Hibachi grill and sushi bar.On this visit we ordered Mongolian Beef, Tempura Chicken, and bubble tea. Everything was good and good portion sizes but the beef was very fatty. The coconut bubble tea with mango bubbles was very good.UPDATED:Visited again and the General Tso's chicken is now my favorite at Cathay! Very flavorful. Hibachi Steak was good as well. Friendly customer service.

Haven't ate at the hibachi side of the restaurant. But the sushi is really good.

My daughter and I had lunch yesterday at Cathay Asian bistro. This is obviously a restaurant that was in decline and has seen much much better days. I was shocked to only find a few cars in the parking lot at what used to be the witching hour 1:00 in the afternoon. The restaurant had very few patrons at 1:00.We were shown to our seat and it appeared there was only one waitress in the sushi side of the restaurant I thought this place used to be packed at this time.My daughter ordered two sushi rolls they were great I ordered three spicy sushi rolls all three looked identical and tasted identical. Perhaps they were all three different I could not distinguish the difference though. The sushi was okay nothing brilliant or to write home about. Mine I'm still questioning? What was oncebeautiful koi ponds in front had now been neglected to just a green murky waterway.I will check back and report in a few months on the progress or decline of Cathay Asian bistro.

Pulling up to this restaurant we noticed that the exterior was in desperate need of maintenance. It looked so bad that we thought it was abandoned. But our friend recommended it, so we went in. Same story inside. The place is actually very lovely. With a good cleaning and some TLC it could be nice. But so many things are dirty and falling apart. Ok, so moving on, for $19.99 you can get All You Can Eat sushi. The sushi was actually great! I was a little annoyed that the waitress took so long to take our order for our second round of rolls. But whatever. The food was good and worth $20. If it had been clean I'd bump it up to 5 stars.

We go there alot for lunch & dinner. Lunch is cheaper and you get a salad, 2 crab ragoon and rice . Their tangerine chicken is the bomb. Our Granddaughter loves this place.

If I'm to be 100% honest the food was incredible and I was very satisfied. I came during a inspection, so I knew it wasn't going to be the fastest service, so while I waited they gave me a free soup. The sushi was mouth watering. I actually tried eel sushi a day I loved it.

7 people from our family for the Hibachi dinner. The chef was nice enough and the food was good but the place itself is really run-down. Lights not working outside, really dim lighting inside. Glass on walls and doors of hibachi area filthy and grease streaked. The place needs a major intensive cleaning. If this is the front of the house just imagine the kitchen. Luckily nobody got sick.Would not return.

Not a good hibachi experience. Don’t go if you are wanting some fun entertainment for a special occasion or treat for your family. It was blah at best. Food was just ok. But man service really could improve. Rude cook and staff. Filthy menus also. Used to be a fun good place but not anymore.

Went for a fun hibachi experience with my parents, husband and 3 kids to celebrate our youngests 9th birthday. I mentioned it was a special occasion and also her first hibachi experience they were rude and never acknowledged her at all in any way. Chef wore a mask and barely spoke. No fun at all. Just basically quickly cooked and Rude to us. food was just ok. Price is decent but just disappointed by the service we received and rudeness on a special day for our family. Very different than when we went several years ago. Go somewhere else where they are friendly and actually want your business.

So I heard about this place from a co-worker when I asked her about an all-you-can-eat sushi place. The atmosphere for about what you would expect from any sushi place. The mushroom and scallion soup (onion soup) was not what I expected. It had a fermented seaweed taste to it and is not something I would let someone I'm with order. The Cathay Roll was really good! The spicy tuna roll was just ok. It was the normal spicy paste tuna rather than a seasoned piece of tuna. The fire Dragon roll was great but wasn't as spicy as the spicy tuna roll. The shrimp tempura was a 1 star roll (I would not recommend it). The service of great since there was only about 15 people in there and for the price of $19.95 I am overall satisfied.

Vegetarian options are available, but I would try somewhere else next time. I love that I can order a vegetable tempura here. We also got the vegetable low mein and the buddha entree. I thought the salad and soup were good, though I didn’t expect the hot and sour soup to have chicken in it (the last place we loved didn’t have chicken in it). Most everything seems to have some egg in it, and that’s not my preference but obviously is common for the fried rice and such. The main deterrent was the oiliness of the food and the lack of strong flavor. Everything tasted a bit weak. I don’t particularly like soy sauce plain so I never add extra to my food, but here I did.The service was fine. Nothing special, but no problems. The restaurant on the outside is a ton of fun and my kiddos were so excited by the statues. The prices have been raised recently according to a sign at the front, but they were also quite reasonable. We paid around $8-9 per meal (including the tempura which was served with fried rice). At first I was thinking a sushi/hibachi date night in the future could be a fun time, but after trying the food we’re going to try other places before we’d come here again.

Sweet potato tempura roll with extra eel sauce is the absolute best thing!

Used to enjoy my visits to Cathay. Our last 2 visits we had to search for our server to get our orders taken for more sushi and neither time were they busy, there was maybe a total of 10 people there in the middle of the afternoon. On our last visit we saw cockroaches when leaving and the next night I was sick as a dog with food poisoning and hadn't had any other food that wasn't prepared by myself or my boyfriend.
