“Lovely authentic food, family owned and operated, the owner is absolutely precious and very kind, incredibly family friendly restaurant. A MUST try place.Kid-friendliness: The owner went so far as to indulge my son’s request for taste tests of certain specialty drinks. Where else do you find that“
“I’ve been to Murfreesboro several times and I have to question myself, how could I missed this spot? This little gem is located not too far from where I stayed . I wish I have more room to try different dishes. I had me a lad na seafood added spicy level 5 and it came out perfectly how I wanted it. The Thai Tea tastes better than most places. But best of all it was Joanna(the owners daughter)who greeted us at the door and continued checking on our table to ensure we are satisfied with the foods. I cleaned up my plate and highly recommend this place to anyone who is looking for the best Thai foods in town. I will definitely come back here again on my next visit. Keep up the good work Som Tum team, you guys are doing an awesome job!!!“
“Excellent local spot for Thai food. I got the Chicken Pad Thai and it was delicious. The pork spring rolls also make for an excellent starter. I like that they provide you the chili tray so that you can make the heat level to your liking. The Boba tea was also very good.Vegetarian options: Many options including veggie pad Thai, etc.Parking: Large lot for the strip mall it's inside.Kid-friendliness: Good atmosphere, kid friendly options.Wheelchair accessibility: Maximum accessibility.“
“Jan 21, 2024: Shame on me for allowing four years to pass since my last visit to SaBaiDee Café. Saw their post on FB of “It’s just me & my mom in the kitchen” and had to go visit. When I walked in the place was humming and the ladies were running a marathon taking care of a packed house. I was seated at the only table left and KK got me a water and Beer Lao while I looked over the menu. Decided on the Spring Roll with shrimp and peanut sauce and the dish Khao Mun Gai.The Spring Rolls are huge, taste garden fresh, and the peanut sauce combined with the roll…perfect! I thought the dish was one roll…you get TWO for $6…darn near a meal all in themselves and I made both disappear! The Khao Mun Gai was a new dish to me and I’m glad I listened to suggestion and gave it a shot. The slices of poached chicken were so tender and when dipped in the ginger chili sauce…POW! Yes…the ginger chili sauce has some spicy, but you control how much so you can either taste the zing or sweat through each bite. The sauce reminds me of an Indian tomato sauce I’ve had before, interesting how cultures can merge or cross. The different parts of this dish all add to the flavors, but the jasmine sticky rice is so good and the cucumbers help cool the zing. The broth is unusual, chicken based, but the inclusion of the halved cherry tomato and onions changes the flavor into a very satisfying consommé. This meal was fantastic and the service from all four of the ladies was very appreciated. It won’t be four years till my next visit here!1999: Visited last night with some friends who were "first timers" so Sabaidee. We sampled a number of appetizers from the fried cabbage rolls, Lao Sausage, Fresh Spring Rolls (declared the best ever had), Fried Egg Rolls, and Banh Cuon which none of us were very fond of...honestly it was a texture thing. The main dishes tried were Sukiyaki that was bountiful with noodles, vegetables, and meat. A dish of Kaeng Ga Lee (yellow curry) was delicious. I had the Pad Kra Pao with beef, chicken, and shrimp....a delicious dish but next time I would probably go with shrimp only. Of the meats in my dish, the shrimp and flavor was excellent. This place is a gem and the food and service are excellent.“
“This has some of the best authentic Lao food in Smyrna! And at a reasonable price! This hole in the wall is the perfect place and I always treat myself to it once a week! If I can’t visit my grandparents and have them make me good Lao food, I come here!“
“Loved eating there when we were in town for a soccer tournament. All the dishes we ordered were great. Our kids lived their satays, phos,... We lived in Asia and it spoiled us. It's hard now to feel flavors and texture getting close enough. We did in this place. Definitely recommend, wish we lived closer.“
