This one actually makes me sad. I used to frequent May Flower when I first moved to Murfreesboro and it was... good. It was not great, but not awful, pretty much standard Chinese cuisine. I found a Chinese restaurant in Nashville I loved, so I hadn't been to MF in years, but I decided that it was important to support local restaurants, especially Asian ones, that may be suffering due to the pandemic. Evidently the damage had already been done. The crab rangoon tasted like straight vinegar. I didn't even know it had vinegar in it... awful. The General Tso's chicken was not spicy... at all. I don't mean it had very little spice; I mean it was sickeningly sweet with NO peppers or heat. The portions were tiny and the price was ridiculous. I don't imagine this one will be around much longer. Sad.

Did I ever mention that I love excellent New York style Chinese food? This stuff is so good, so inexpensive, and it makes for fantastic leftovers. It is packed plentifully within the containers, and the rice is always perfect every time I have ordered it. Go here for that beautiful cheap food with great portions.

I had stopped eating here several years ago because it seems as though something change with the ingredients or the cooks. Today I had a taste for Sesame Chicken and since it was close to me, I decided to go there and my chicken was hard, stringy, chewy and did not taste like chicken. I was really hoping that things had changed from my last visit years ago and unfortunately nothing changed. My food tasted like leftovers and was a TOTAL WASTE of my money. I’m SOOOOO disappointed

May Flower is a family-owned business that has great food in big portions for a very affordable price. You can’t beat their lunch deals or their combination dinner prices. The homemade wonton soup is a staple. I go here weekly knowing that I will get amazing food every time.

Called and asked for General Tso's chicken with all white meat. immediately and rudely they said they don't do that. The reason for that is because the majority of their food comes out of a freezer and is pre-made. I ordered it anyway, and guess what....it's all dark meat that is like chewing on a tire. The rice and lo mein is decent, but thats not where the money is on their end. Might as well pick up frozen Chinese food at the grocery store.

Called in my order and the guy that took my order said the moo shu pork can be made for a lunch special. So I went ahead and ordered. When I went to pay they charged me regular price. The girl that took my money said no lunch special. Then I asked for more plum sauce and she wanted $1 per a small cup. No more eating here.

I wanted to try someplace new for carry out and this place was close. I have to say I usually try to find something good to say but the food here is horrific. I got Mongolian beef and it taste like burnt jerky soaked in oil and scrapped off the floor. They barely put and beef in it I'm not sure at this point if this is a bad thing based on the taste. But the vegetables are much better they were cooked in year old grease by the taste. The beef fried rice was cold and has the exact same burnt beef j*** the Mongolian beef had. I truly wanted to take my 4 dinners we ordered back up there and watch one of them eat it because it looks, smells and taste like garbage, well garbage might actually taste better. I'm not sure I have ever wrote a horrible review before, so that says alit in itself. One star because negative points are not allowed.

Ate there serial times now because my girl likes it for whatever reason. Anyways anything that is fried is always fried to long the general tsos isn't anything to write home about. The lo mein is so so. The worst egg rolls I've ever tried to eat. Do yourself a flavor favor and go somewhere else even if you have to drive an hour away.

I dont usually leave bad reviews but the food was actually inedible. 35 dollars straight into the trash. I've never thrown take out away in my life. The chicken tasted like straight up grease and the batter was uncooked. I spat it back out on my plate. The lo mein was pure salt. The rice was flavorless and dry.Do not eat here.

We had dinner from here for the first time. It was terrible!! $30 for 2 people to have under cooked chicken and no flavor! When I called to let them know my chicken was raw they told me I was wrong!! We will not be going again!!

Mayflower is the spot in Murfreesboro. I've never waited more than 10 minutes for to go food. Everything is always clean. Food is always hot. And the service is always great.
