Now this is how hot chicken should be done! (see my previous review of Bolton's). While the wait was pretty long, they let you know that beforehand and it was 100% worth it. Delicious and juicy, hot as hell, and so much flavor I can't even describe it. I have two favorite hot chicken places in town and 400 degrees is definitely one of them!

Had the 200 and 400 degree chicken strips today for lunch and let me just say that I haven’t stopped thinking about it since and can’t wait to go back!!!! A lot of places are boasting about how their food brings the heat yet it still lacks in flavor, the food that they serve at 400 degrees does not lack in heat or in flavor whatsoever! It comes out freshly cooked served with bread which soaks up all those delicious and spicy juices for you to enjoy! Added bonus they have a secret menu the level of heat does not just stop at 400 degrees it can go up to 900!!!!

I never end up getting hot chicken, but flavor is important. I got 100 degrees, so there was some heat. It was pretty good and not too salty. The only drawback was that when I asked for a cup of water, I was charged for a bottle of water.

Oh man, this chicken, I don't think I'll be able to say the right words to describe it. It's incredible ❤️❤️❤️. I went here for the first time today for lunch because I was having a hot chicken craving. The menu was simple just the meats and a few sides available. There were pictures and descriptions of the spice level on the wall owith a note saying no refunds for heat levels. I ordered medium, feeling like a safe choice and the woman double checked that I was ready for that spice, so I had a feeling it was going to hit pretty good. She also let me know everything is cooked by order so it would take a bit. I had my toddler with me, but they had a large connect four and he was fine waiting with me. It didn't seem to take that long and my food arrived. Medium leg quarter, fries, Cole slaw and a drink. The spice on the chicken was amazing. It created this crust with the breading that was hard and crunchy, without being greasy at all and the chicken wasn't dry. Not only was it not dry, it was some of the juiciest fried chicken I've ever had. The fries were lightly spiced and crinkle cut, the Cole slaw was cool and delicious, a sweet mayo based that helped cool off the fire in my mouth. I ate every single last bite, not even the tiniest bit chicken left on any bone or any crunchies left on the plate. I didn't take any pictures, but I checked their Instagram after eating there and the pictures were a perfect reference for what I got. I am normally a Bolton's gal and have been for over 10 years, but this chicken has made me question my loyalty. I will be back and often.

That chicken was made with love, and it shows. Cooks came to say hi and chat with returning customers, so you know they’ve put in the time to get to know who you are. We got the 100 - mild and 200 - hot chicken wings, came in 2 pieces of toast and pickles as you’d expect from a hot chicken spot. I’m not too great with spice but the 100 were unreal and packed with flavor, heat was a good level and worth venturing a try if you’re not so great with heat like myself. Had a bite of the 200 and that was even more flavorful, but I personally wouldn’t be able to handle a full order. I love a good crinkle cut fry, and that was probably the best crinkle cut fry I’ve had. Seasoning across the board was 400%. I’ve had a few chicken spots here in Nashville and this is definitely #1, highly recommend and reasonably priced!Parking: Handful of spots for parking, definitely would be tight if there was a lunch rush, but worth it!
400 Degrees is always a good time. My Southern husband says that it is the best fried chicken he has ever had. I tell people all the time to go check it out. Truly delicious, and lovely burn. I personally thoroughly enjoy the 400 degree level. The heat and flavor balance well.

I love everything about this place, I can’t say enough positive things about this establishment. The chicken and fries are great, I always get 100 or 200 degrees. I always get the tea too, it’s excellent. The shrimp is good too! The atmosphere is great, there are tons of selfie walls. And the staff is great, the epitome of southern hospitality.
