Very cute little taco truck stationed near a gas station. We went to Pie Town Tacos and for some reason they were closed earlier than they were supposed to and they suggested we try Cheap Charlie’s nearby.As the name suggests, it’s cheap and the seating outdoor area is cute for a taco truck. The food didn’t dazzle me, and based on the great reviews, I had great expectations. We tried 8-9 items from the menu including all kinds of tacos, wrap, chicken quesadillas. Everything was average but the sauces were good and elevating the dishes.Be ready to find street parking if you’re going there. They also do Uber eats, doordash etc.
Top tier Mexican - highly recommend the Al pastor tacos, and they also do good fries.great prices, super yummy food. Best Mexican I’ve had in Nashville.

This fantastic little place is located next to my friend Benny's Marathon gas station in 5 points in East Nashville. I can not tell you how delicious food made with love always is. You'll have to find that out for yourself! I recommend that this be one of the places you start! I got 1 of their taco entree combo's, and it was absolutely what my body was asking for! When it comes to empanada, these are some folks that know how to do it right!Wheelchair accessibility: They have a covered patio that has no edge or floor to it as it is built on top of the pavement, so it's perfect for wheelchairs, accessibility! Also, they have kind staff that will bring your food right out to you !

Honestly the food is amazing. However, they are constantly shutting down at random times during the day, you never know when. Haven’t had them in over a month because every time I try, they are closed for anywhere between 20-60 minutes. Wish I could say try online orders, but they shut down that as well. I really want to give 5 stars because the food is so good, but I can’t even get the food because their service is so spotty.
I WOULD PUT 0 stars if I could , the chicken quesadilla should be called a cheese only bc there was zero chicken all nasty old molded yellow cheese your supposed to put white mozzarella you idiots 2nd is the bugs and hair in my bag and tacos it’s not cheap it should be called rat
I have been searching for a good authentic place when I would crave Tacos or traditional tortas and quesadillas and this place is fast and tastes authentic. So, far this food truck is my favorite.

I had the fish and steak taco They were delicious. And the carne asada fries were so good. It's a really good place to eat even though it's beside a gas station.
Hard to say how much I love this place. Consistently great food, solid prices, awesome location. But really it’s about the people. After the tornado came through and the pandemic started, we didn’t have power for a long time. Charlie’s came back online before our block & kept serving so we could have hot meals. When supply chains were getting crushed they kept slinging delicious food. When we were getting furloughed, hours cut, laid off Charlie’s was still a place we could order something awesome without crushing the budget. Charlie’s fed my family through some pretty tough times, and I’ll always be grateful.
