Great experience overall. Food was great. Cocktails were great. Service was great. Laid back atmosphere. We had the Crab Cake appetizer with a cup of Clam Chowder. Then we had the Fish 'n' Chips sampler and Lobster Roll with butter. Had to leave food on the plate because we were so stuffed. Next time I'm in Nashville, I will be back.

We walked in at 3:30 on a Saturday hoping for some drinks and appetizers. At first the host ignored us and then when we went up to him turned away saying they were booked with reservations. The restaurant wasn't even half full and we were way too early to impede on dinner reservations. We were looking forward to trying this place out and with such terrible service we will not be back.

I've been dying to review what was one of our go to restaurants but it pains me to have to write a poor review instead.Last week we went to dinner before our show and thought an hour and fifteen would suffice. Nope. We waited 50 minutes for our food, so we ended up packing up the rest, accepted the issue and besides, our waiter was lovely. Our most recent visit also had issues. We brought friends, I ordered same as last time (British fish and chips-2). I received my order and saw only one piece of fish, asked if it was two pieces just stuck together. He looked at it and said, no and would bring one out for me. NO OTHER COMMENT then returned with another piece. Our bill came and we saw a $29 charge for the fish & chips. Menu reads $19 (same as last time on our bill). I told the waiter and it was explained that it's a two pick for $26 and British is an additional $4. I tell him that I didnt order two different items. The menu has three separate sections: starters, fish & chips then entrees. 2 pick is under entrees and in small print subcategorized. He gets manager, Michael who tells me same spiel. I debate that it's confusing and didn't have this issue last time. He becomes more insistent that I misread it and he can't change his pricing. What? I'm not asking him that. I'm pointing out the very confusing organization of their menu and I wasn't aware of the additional $10 charge--otherwise wouldve kept the single piece. And the waiter didn't say their was an additional cost. There's more back and forth ending with him saying if you think I can change your bill to match your pricing I can't. I thrust the bill at him and tell him that Im a regular, bring friends and you treat me like this? AND your lobster bisque has no lobster in it. He gives no apology. We left. OH and to double down on a previous review, the lobster bisque had no lobster in it. Bottom line: be sure to read all fine print, ask questions and focus on each separate sections description--all that is expected when going out to dinner to unwind.

One of our go to favorite restaurants! The New England pub style is cozy and welcoming. We have gone here for years with fish and chips being our top ordered plate. Servers and host are very friendly and accommodating. Highly recommend!

I would suggest adding herbs and spices to fish to give it flavor. I had to peel back the crust salt the meat to just get some sense of flavor. The flavor should be in the meat. I had to get up and ask for re-fills Over all just disappointing. First and last visit.Dont get your hopes up unless bland is your flavor..Took forever to get the check. I felt like I was being held hostage for eating a bad meal.

My wife and I blindly pick Boston Commons for dinner and we couldn't have made a better choice. I had the lobster bisque and clam strips. She has the salmon. Unquestionably one of the best meals I've even had. The chips (fries) deserve a mention, they were perfect. I'm not a fan of fancied up fries (Parmesan, Truffle, etc) and these hit the mark ?.

A must have New England style pub and tavern style restaurant in East Nashville. My husband and I are always impressed with the service and quality of dishes they have on their menu. In particular their New England clam chowder is quite possible one of the best I’ve EVER had. So thick and creamy and great paired with their crab cakes. The fish and chips sampler is a fav my husband as it gives a wonderful sampling of different styles of fish filets and the fries are just right. The drink menu is ALWAYS fierce and keep a solid seasonal rotation on their cocktail menu. The ghost pepper infused margarita is impeccably made! The Irish brownie is so decadent and has me thinking about it a lot since trying it! Atmosphere is cozy and intimate and it’s cool that the have a little patio for when the weather warms up too. It’s one of our personal favorite places to eat here in Nashville. 10/10!!!
