Great vibe. Upscale and tasteful. The tacos were excellent and the sides of cilantro rice and black beans were even better! Cocktail was super small, (always a turn off) but the wine pour was very healthy. Recommend when needing a break from bbq and country music. Great location.

We are here celebrating our anniversary weekend and decided to have lunch here. The food was ok and the drinks were ok as well. My problem with this place is that they charge you for any extra salsa. They charge you $10 for chips and salsa but if you want any extra, you have to pay for it. WHO DOES THAT? I've never been to a Mexican restaurant and been charged for chips and salsa. I get it, they aren't that busy and they need to make money any way they can but they won't make money off of me the next time I'm in town.

We pass by this restaurant all the time when we're going to a Preds game, but we finally came by with enough time to sit and eat the other day. Inside is upscale, but still cozy and welcoming. Plus, our server and her trainee were extremely friendly and helpful. We hadn't been before, sot he recommendation to try the guacamole and salsa app was right on point. I loved all of them, but the darkest salsa was my absolute favorite! We were warned it was spicy, but I think our guacamole was made with super fresh jalapeños, so that was honestly a bit spicier. Loved it all though. I ordered a pineapple margarita, so I felt like I had to get the Tacos Al Pastor. The margarita was lovely (I got it only with the Tajin, no salt) & the tacos came with rice and beans. The rice was a little dry, but the tacos were nice. There was just the right amount of meat on them, but I thought they could have used more of the other fillings (pineapple/cilantro/onions). I'm glad we had the appetizer at the table so I could add some guacamole to them. Looking forward to next time!

Loved everything about this place. The atmosphere is incredible and the staff is wonderful. Everything was so good! I usually am not a fan of mole sauce but our server brought samples of it and the verde and I ended up ordering the enchiladas with chicken and mole sauce. Husband had the carne asada and it was delicious and our kids had carnitas and the quesadilla. Hands down we will visit again, it's delicious the best upscale Mexican cuisine we've found in Nashville after living here close to 20 years!

The vibe of this restaurant was nice. Nothing that really stood out to me though . Food was good but I'm not a fan of the cilantro rice but that's anywhere not just here. Drinks were on the strong side which is actually kind of nice because you don't want to have to spend a lot of money to try and get a nice buzz . Only downside was the hostess. Me my wife and daughter went in without a reservation and the hostess was like well I can seat you but I have a reservation in an hour so you have to eat fast . And when we were seated there were plenty of open tables and no one was coming in when we were eating .

Great food and excellent service. Took the waiter's suggestion on the enchiladas and they did not disappoint. I would highly recommend if you love Mexican style food!

Decided to try this place since I was staying at the residence inn. So glad. Ordered the enchiladas with verde sauce as well as the sampler with guacamole . Loved the spicey salsa and chips. Service was great. Will definitely return next time in Nashville.

We come for business each year at the Nashville Convention Center and stay at the Marriott Residence Inn upstairs. So, it's more than convenient to walk downstairs to Calacas! Each year we stay, we are in town for a week and I would bet that we eat at least 2-3 times. It's just great. We try to sit at the bar, but if we get there too late, the place is packed...and for good reason.Fun place. Great food. We always leave patting our tummies and leftovers to take upstairs because we ate too much! Thanks for the great time. We'll be back next year!

We had a wonderful experience here last night! The 12 of us are in town for a bachelorette from St. Louis and truly haven't had the best luck with food, this restaurant changed our minds! We were a big party with a last minute reservation since our one at a different place fell through. They split us up in half but the service was so great we didn't even realize! The spicy margaritas with tajin seasoning were a HIT at our tables! I wish I could remember the servers name because she definitely deserved a shout out with how fantastic she was. She didn't over annoy us or anything she was perfect! The bar was also very cute the way they had it all set up, I loved the portraits everywhere and how open it was with windows! Thank you for the best food experience we have had since we been here

I dined alone at this restaurant while on a recent trip. The overall ambience feels like a dark jazz club. The food is good. I had the Molé beef enchiladas. However, the service was less than good. I sat at the bar, and the bartender was much more interested in providing very excellent service to the attractive person sitting two barstools down from me. The service I got can be described as perfunctory at best. I barely got three words of greeting and no friendliness. The attractive person received menu advice, free, tasting of sauces, and a jovial conversation. If you were to dine here, you better, that might be at a table where you might get better service.

Here I sit, relatively inebriated from the two mezcal margaritas I've consumed. My wife and her compatriots are discussing the pitfalls of breastfeeding in the middle of the night. My Jamaican server, Dane, has insisted I consume this second beverage. I'm suspicious that his motivations are less than be benevolent, but my cloudy mind has dismissed any such notions at this point. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if I awoke in a palm frond roofed structure outside of Tijuana. I'd probably just chalk it up to a good time and walk home. The Mole enchiladas were fantastic, and I'd recommend them to any travelers to Nashville.

We went for my boyfriend’s birthday and they brought out a slice of cake without us asking and charged us $12 for it. The food and drinks were great, but I wish they had asked before bringing/charging for the dessert.
