From start to finish our first experience was amazing! Penny was so kind and knowledgeable of the menu. She made great recommendations and remembered that we were celebrating our anniversary early. The food and drinks were delicious and came out quickly. We can't wait to return!
Good, not great for the price point. The foie and carb starters were lacking. The foie was overwhelmed by the truffles. The Ceasar and wedge salads were both a disappointment. The steak was great. The potatoes were good. Overall, though, we were underwhelmed given the price.

I wanted to order lamb which is one of the reasons we went to the restaurant but our server said that it was tough and not to order it, which I appreciated. My husband's steak was ok, the salad was good and my tuna tartare was decent. We would not go back as we did not think the food was worth the money we paid.

Been here several times. Today wasn’t greatHad to get up to get my own drink to at we’re just sitting at the bar. Also ordered at the bar cause my waiter didn’t come to us 15 minutes. Slow servise they didn’t have enough waiters.

We really enjoyed our visit to Carne Mare. We had reservations for the main dining room but ended up dining at the bar because the service was excellent and we were able to sit in close proximity to one another instead of across the table from each other. The food was delicious. The only thing we were disappointed with was the dessert, the chocolate cake. The cake did not appear to be homemade and tasted like it came from a freezer. We will definitely go back to Carne Mare soon.
Service was excellent and the food was delicious. We were sat in a smaller room off the main dining area which allowed us a quieter experience. Some of the portion sizes were a bit small for the price, but overall a very good dining experience.

Our girls night out started out with cocktails, wine, the mozzarella sticks topped with caviar, octopus carpaccio, foie gras cones and complimentary Parker house rolls (soo good!). Drinks and apps were excellent. The mozzarella sticks/caviar are a must try! For entrees, we ordered the filet (medium rare), mushroom marsala side (another must try!), butternut square, and pappardelle pasta dish. Overall, dinner was amazing, our server wonderful!

Our waitress Macy suggested some great food options and had such a down to earth personality. She was fantastic! I also have to shout out Noah who brought the food to the table. He was very nice and explained the food in a way that made us even more excited to eat what was in front of us. Our overall experience was fantastic and we will definitely come back the next time we visit Nashville.

$85 KC Strip ordered and was given a veiny cut, still had dry aged crust that hadn't been trimmed. Had about 8 ounces of edible meat and it was tough. Sat by the door. Table settings were lame. Took 15 mins to get a drink. Extremely loud. Server was good.

We were so looking forward to our dinner at Carne Mare and are heartbroken at what a disappointment it was. The ambiance was lovely. The decor is warm and the noise level allowed us to carry on conversations with our party of 8. But the food was a complete failure. For a meal that cost almost $400 per couple, you expect it to be meticulously prepared. Our small plates and salads were wonderful, but our dinner took a long time to be served. When it was finally served, every steak at our table was cold. The only side at our table that was hot was the potatoes. So we ate cold steak, broccoli and polenta for dinner. So frustrated and disappointed. We would definitely recommend finding a different upscale restaurant in Nashville for your celebrations!
