Food variety is good, but the employees…WOW! In the week I’ve dealt with them, most have been rude. But todays woman in charge of chicken tenders was the absolute most rude. And S L O W. It was like she was intentionally trying to do the absolute LEAST she could possibly do.
At least Vanderbilt Medical has fresh food other than just vending machines, yet the offerings are limited and most employees I encountered were snappy and unpleasant. As the spouse of a patient in critical care, I was hoping for a breakfast omelet that a nurse said was good. When I requested one from the grill, the fellow behind it simply said, "We ain't fixing those." Then he returned to whatever he was doing. The food is decent, but the crew running the grill is consistently rude... I've gone out of my way to smile and be especially friendly, but to no avail. Absolutely no reciprocation. Vandy is amazing, but they really should address the food court. It does NOT fall in line with what you can expect in medical care... which is excellence.
