A friend who lives in Nashville told me this piece was super popular and we met up for morning coffee. I had high hopes but overall it fell short. We ordered cortado, cappuccino, double butter croissant and pain au chocolat. I ordered two cortados, but it came out to be $26. !!The croissant was good but not exceptional. Nice layers and buttery flavor, but I have had better. The inside didn’t have as much layers or buttery aroma as I had at other places.Pain au chocolat has chocolate sticks that were very thick.Coffee was ok.The worst part is parking. I was there for an hour and 50min, and parking across the street at a paid lot was $32. (I think you can park a few blocks away at a library for cheaper, but I didn’t want to walk that far.)And the place is cute but with an open kitchen, I smelled like bacon and egg for a long time.I’ ld just go to Dozens bakery. I’m glad I tried, but probably won’t be back.

Amazing pastries! Serious kudos to the pastry chef!!We tried the berry fruit brioche, the s'mores croissant, the Donut and the Filbert along with lunch sandwiches and coffees. The Filbert is a hazelnut layered log that tasted like an upscale hazelnut KitKat! The Donut was the sweetest item but deadly not as sweet as a Krispy Kreme. Even the s'mores croissant was not a kid's version but sophisticated with a smokey, nutty chocolate. The pastries were so soft as well as the sandwich bread! It's hard to find a great cappuccino but this was a perfect balance! Highly recommend!

I heard they were nominated for a James Beard Award!! So decided to check it out and it was beyond my expectations! Everything thing about this place is just amazing. The food and the lovely staff, plus the location is great. Got the Braised-shot rib and egg sandwich, carrot cake, and a cold latte to accompany the sweet taste of the JD jr. Absolutely loved it!! And would definitely recommend to anyone with appreciation for good taste.

My wife and I had lunch here on a Saturday and pastries on Sunday morning. The BLT is delicious. Great farm bread, not a sourdough and a generous portion of bacon, lettuce and tomato. My wife had a carrot falafel and cup of soup. Both good, though she did ask for the soup to be heated, as it was surprisingly cool. For pastries we had pain au chocolat and a raspberry pop tart. While the former was very good, the tart was fantastic. Great jam, and delicate layers of pastry. The lunch crowd was heavy and many pastries were already sold out. Get there early if you want a full selection. And never ever ever park across in the paid lot across the street. The rates are outrageous.

By far the best pastries I’ve had in Nashville and 100% a very legitimate bakery. I don’t think it’s to the level of some great bakeries in cities like SF (Tartine, Arsicault) but really really good. They also have a huge selection of pastries and all I tried were good. Their brisket breakfast sandwich was also very unique but very good.

First impressions really do mean a lot, and in this instance, I was a very satisfied first-time customer during my first experience with this bakery/cafe.I’ve passed this location several times and never found the perfect moment to go inside.During my visit, I had the BLT sandwich and a chai latte with almond milk. The bacon was cooked to perfection; I gotta have that crispy bacon! It was the best BLT sandwich that I’ve had that wasn’t made by myself. The staff was very kind in answering all of my questions, and the space was very light and inviting.Absolutely will be adding this to my lunch rotation when I’m in the office.
