“Fantastic deli in Nashville! Looking for a good sandwich and this place looked unique. It’s an old machine shop turned into a shopping center. They have coffee, gift shops, and other shopping. The Southern Engine Deli is awesome! I had a Reuben sandwich with a delicious tortilla soup. Highly recommend this place.“

“HELL YES, this place is freakin' awesome. I'd love to be eloquent about it, but my excitement overrides everything. I haven't had a proper Italian sub since going vegan over a decade ago... until now. So bomb. The milkshakes was super delicious and—from what I can remember—indistinguishable from non-vegan shakes. We also split an amazing Caesar salad; love the choice to use tofu for the protein as it's the best and usually is pushed aside in favor of more processed options. Lots to be said about ACCESSIBILITY as well, I very much appreciate the relatively low prices, familiar choices on the menu and straightforward descriptions. Thanks for being a great vegan option!! “Cozy sandwich shop, friendly service as soon as you walk in the door. The Philly on a wrap is really tasty and my wife loved the BLT. "Atmosphere" got 4-stars because the fountain drink machine was broken and there was no free option for a cup of water. The only bottle water option they had was Dasani (hashtag vomit ?) Overall this is a great place for a quick bite and within a few easy steps walking distance from Broadway.Wheelchair accessibility: Not wheelchair friendly unless you go ask the way around the block to a different entrance into the building and then back through aforementioned building to get to the sandwich shop.“
“Awesome deli just outside of downtown Nashville. It was very crowded but we got seated quick. The service was really good.Sandwich was delicious and the matzah ball soup was good. Highly recommend. This comes close to the authenticity of a NYC deli.“
