This place has always had the best pizza! I have traveled a lot and I would rather go here than any other pizza place. I have not eaten here for years though and just went back tonight for a to go order and ate it on the way home. Oh my gosh the pizza is so good! How have I not been back in so long?

Bewildered why this place has such high ratings. I guess people love 12South and love pizza so they’re willing to forgive mediocre pizza and worse

Amazing food!!! Loved the vibe of this place, very cozy atmosphere. We hit the 2 for 1 happy hour which was great. Would especially recommend their meatballs. This is definitely our new spot!

My friends and I were hungry and heard about this place. Let me tell you that this is probably my new favorite pizza spot! These mozzarella sticks are out of this world! And the pizza!!! We ordered an 18" Teamster, and it was much larger than 18". Three grown men could not finish this pizza after the mozzarella sticks. It was so good! Nothing really like it..It tastes so authentic. **Update - Went back 3 weeks later and got the exact same thing again! It was SO good. Now i must bring the wife and kids!

Today, my wife and father-in-law were exploring 12 South. I heard about this place from some local friends, and we decided to give it a try — and we’re glad we did! Our server, Emily, was amazing. She had a very bubbly and easy going attitude, which made for a fun experience. We started with the ravioli cheese sticks, a must try, and we ordered the build your own pasta & pizza. Everything these days is expensive, but the portions were gigantic and we left full and satisfied, something that’s important. It was a 10/10 experience and we will return. Thanks again to Emily for making it a special experience. My father-in-law is visiting from Colombia and she was very kind and patient with him — it goes a long way!Dietary restrictions: Gluten free and vegetarian.

My partner (Nashville native) highly recommended this place so we stopped in and had an ok experience. Definitely more pizza than we could eat and definitely a bit pricey (but who isn't these days). Our server was initially friendly but came off as pandering the further the interaction went on, ambiance was basically a dive bar - complete with drunk college kids throwing back shots loudly at the bar. Still, not a horrible experience - this experience earns the 2 stars. A few weeks later we ordered delivery via Uber Eats. I was sick and craving pizza after finally overcoming nausea and vomiting. We ordered a build your own via the Uber Eats app - 18 incher with olives, garlic, and fresh moz. There were no options to select a base sauce (there is in person) so I assumed it came with standard marinara. There was only an option to add on a sauce, which reads as a dipping sauce on the side (see screen grab). Our pizza arrived (after having to physically hunt down the driver half a block away on a side street, obviously this is a complain with Uber Eats, not the restaurant, and this was reflected in the adjusted tip). Here are the complaints - we were excited to dig in but surprised to find zero sauce on our pizza. Zero! This made for a very dry, flavorless pizza. Luckily I had some tomato sauce on hand and whipped up a quick marinara for dipping. Second complaint is that the 18 inch boxes do not fit in our fridge, so to save leftover we had to wrap slices up individually. Both of these complaints seem minor but are essentially what ordering pizza is all about so I cannot recommend this place. Seems like the old standards went out the window along with the old Nashville. If this is an error on the Uber Eats menu, here's your alert to fix it!

I have a pizza rankings spreadsheet that I keep, and this is the lowest scoring spot on the list. Tons of cheese, floppy as hell, and barely cooked. I couldn't eat the pizza, and had to throw 95% of it out. While I'm a bit spoiled having grown up in NY, the pizza at MAFIAoZA’s needs serious help. It gets a 0/100, which is a coveted spot no other pizza has attained. You may even want to try this, just to see how bad a slice of pizza can get.If you're looking for good pizza places in Nashville, here are my recommendations:1. Gagas Grandma Pies: This is a pop-up, and you'll have to subscribe to their email page to ever know when they show up. Best pizza I've had here though. Super unique and flavorful. I like their grandpa (Sicilian) more than their grandma, but they don't have it as often.2. Il Forno: My favorite Neopolitan in Nashville.3. Five Points: About as close as you can get to a traditional NY slice here.4. Frankies: Solid sicilian slice.5. Estilo's Nashville: Off the beaten path and only open on the weekend, but the margherita is legit.

I was couriering an order from here. Food smelled great and was impressed with the size of the box, knowing the general price of the pizza. So I came back with high expectations. Below are my reviews of the food, service, and ambiance. We were expecting "Price = Quality". Food - Pizza - subpar pizza; two size options: 10" or 18", nothing in between. No "by the slice" like other local places. The pizza was suffocated in cheese, to the point you couldn't enjoy the flavors of the other toppings. Cheese sticks - they were fine (crunch was nice) (evidently had made it on the Food Network a number of times), but definitely not worth $5.66/ea ($5.66 x 3 = $17). Service - was fine. I've had better and I've had worse. Ambiance - the vibe is chill. Not too loud, not too quiet (8:15p-9:00p).

My husband and I had our first experience at MAFIAoZA's in April 23 and absolutely LOVED it. We were in the Nashville area again this evening (2 hour drive for us) and were excited to come back...only to be seriously disappointed. The service was lacking, my Chicken Parm breading was burnt and the chicken was so dry. I asked for light sauce but instead it was drowning in it. It was the same boring Chicken Parm that I would expect at Olive Garden, not the amazing dish I experienced here back in April! My husband had the Rico Act pizza; the crust was soggy, not even a little crisp to it, and the caramelized onions were just plopped on 1 1/2 slices. Sadly, we will not be coming back.
