This is one of our favorite restaurants in Nashville, hands down. Highly recommend. Great food, great wine, amazing atmosphere. It's like stepping into an authentic Parisian bistro right around the corner in East Nashville!

Food was great! Beware the building is old, and you might be sitting a slightly slanted table because of an uneven floor. Order the steak frites — delicious! My fiancé enjoyed the duck, too.

Trés belle experience! Delicious, charming, and immaculately clean. I only offer 4 stars of 5, because the restaurant, especially its facilities (the ones I visited) were very small- inhospitable to larger body types and to those who are differently able. The gastronomy was a delight. Bon nuit.Wheelchair accessibility: Perhaps on one of the terraces.

Once Upon a Time in France brings authentic French dining to Nashville, with divine escargot, steak tartare, and exquisite caviar. Paired with an impressive wine list, it's the ultimate spot for a cozy date night. A culinary gem for an unforgettable experience. My favorite French escape!

Had the lobster truffle soup and foie gras. Service was kind and responsive but the food was dissapointing. Soup had no peices of lobster or noticeable truffle flavor. It was also not very hot and served in a tiny tea cup with whipped cream on top. The froie gras was served on a tiny peice of toast. I've had froie Gras elsewhere that was nicely seared and paired with better bread and jam.

I've been wanting to go here; but they don't take reservations. I took a chance on my birthday and they had a table available. Definitely worth it. ?Parking: They have some parking immediately in front of and to the left of the building. Some parking spots are tight. Don't park on the right side. Those spaces are for another business. There's signs posted in both areas to guide you.

I was visiting from Belgium . Very nice staff. Also speaking French. The dîner was just perfect! The crement was teastfull, the entrée was a ognion french soup, than a beef meat with french fries just perfect with a côte du Rhône and à crème brûlée for dessert! If you are at Nashville, go there for a nice dîner!! And the place is nicely decorated and cosy!! Just go and try !! G from Brussels!

The moment you cross the threshold, you step into a tight but cozy bistro in France, completely forgetting that Nashville is behind you. We were walk-in on a busy night and they were kind, accommodating, and able to work us in quickly. The service was wonderful. The food delightful. Looking forward to going again.

Delicious, attentive service, amazing atmosphere. I heard, but cannot confirm that the menu changes fairly frequently. I'm looking forward to attending again with a different menu.

Make a reservation! Do not believe their website!Their website states under the info tab: "Once a "Walk-In Only" restaurant, we now accept limited reservations while still mostly accommodating walk-ins. Reservations are taken only over the phone during opening hours." I researched this earlier that morning prior to coming to Nashville to dine here among other activities. When we arrived at 5:30 PM, the host requested our reservation name, I stated we didn't have one and he responded with "Not tonight" as in "You're not eating here tonight." I responded that their website said otherwise (about the reservations) or I would have made a prior reservation. The host told me I was incorrect and that their website did not state what I copied directly from it above. If I was at fault, I'd accept that and move on, but the host was adamant that I didn't know what I was talking about. So save yourself the headache, make a reservation, and don't believe the website, or you may potentially be called a liar when you press them on the topic.Lastly, this restaurant is billed as a casual french bistro, but I do recommend dressing nicer than casual. It was evident based on a quick survey of the clientele seated inside that Sunday Dress / Business Casual is the unspoken preference.
