This was one of the favorite parts of the trip to Nashville. The food was absolutely top notch and the atmosphere was super welcoming and friendly. There was a musician playing jazz during breakfast and the owner made visits out to speak with everyone and thank them for coming. The restaurant is very community oriented and philanthropic. I never go to a restaurant more than once in a row while on a trip and we went here everyday. We were with a group of 8 and everyone loved this place. Another couple are coming back in a week and plan to come back to this restaurant again with friends/co-workers.

We were on a road trip and seen this place as we were headed out. We decided to stop and have some breakfast. Immediately upon entering we were greeted by multiple staff member. The energy was so welcoming and hospitable. They seated us quickly. They were very attentive. We happens to show up on a Sunday when they had dinner and breakfast buffet. Let me tell you this place didn’t disappoint. The food, staff, atmosphere, music, etc were on point! Highly recommend.

Here is our honest review of Shugga Hi. We visited on Feb 2024 as we try to eat at black own business. The day we went someone in the Kitchen must have been off because our waiter said the whole right side of the menu was not available. Bad sign number 1, my son and I where going to order breakfast burritos which is on the right side of the menu, Bad sign number 2. Now this is where we should have left but we stayed and three people ordered three meals and Nothing was good. The best tasting item was just OK. The fish we ordered was over fried and but we paid our bill. I hope if Shugga Hi reads this review please tell me what the hell happened on 2 17 24 because something must have happened.

Wow just had a great breakfast! Had their signature chicken and waffles and they did not disappoint. The outside doesn't look like much but inside you get a nice vibe! The owner Cathy is a delightful. She came out to talk about all the different things she has going on this month... little sad I was just passing through and would not be there for a few of the events. We were there on a Thursday but it sounds like on the weekends that they sometimes have Jazz performers .. If I were ever in this area I would definitely come back.. #Hometownfavorites. #women #community #smallbusinesa

If good food, spirit of generosity and community is your thing, this is your place. The breakfast buffet items were delicious. Kathy, the owner is a gem and our server, Ronin was wonderful. Added bonus was a fabulous jazz guitarist/singer who was great and just the right volume. Not only do they offer great food and a warm atmosphere, they also take care of the hungry in the community. Shugga Hi gets two thumbs up from me.

First timer today and y’all must put this hidden gem on your list! Sunday brunch was being served and had plenty of delicious offerings. The food was on spot and the service tip top! AND…they even have live jazz music playing in the dining room. We plan to be back soon!

I had the veggie stuffed biscuits. Make sure you get honey butter to pour over it.... it's delicious!!! It's dry without it. My niece had the chicken & waffles & she said the chicken was bland. Another friend had the fried whitting fish, which was yummy!!!The live music is soooo good!!! The gentleman is such a great guitar player we found ourselves singing to the old school music!! The servers were excellent!!! The owner is very friendly & helpful!!

I really wanted to like and support this place. It was just ok. I can go anywhere for just ok. The chicken tenders lacked salt and seasonings in the breading. The waffle crumbled apart and the taste was just ok. The syrup was good and our sever Ronin was a blessing. Really all the staff were attentive and kind. Loved the gentleman who played the jazz oldies.
