Was staying at the Westin but did not like their coffee. Stumbled onto Stompin' Grounds at JW Marriott and went there the next four days. Best cold brew I've had, and the service was amazing. I am singling out Opal because she was so awesome. Not only delivering great service, she also had great tips on where to go in what to do in Nashville. Hang onto her Stompin' Grounds.

It was good, but too expensive for what you get. It’s a hotel restaurant so it’s not unheard of to have expensive options, like this but it isn’t a place a local would visit, even though they do validate for parking. The food was pretty to look at, the waitstaff was phenomenal— friendly, helpful, attentive, and professional— the food came out SO FAST, but still, the food wasn’t good enough for the price point. My total came out to $29 before tax. But after tax, a $6 tip for the waitress and $4 for valet, it was $40+ for lunch . All I got was a bento box entree and drip coffee and there wasn’t any leftovers …For the food:- Salmon was fine , but smaller than expected, kinda fishy (not bad just not as high quality as expected), and pretty plain.- Carrots were magical. Seriously the best part of it. Absolutely insane get the carrots if you’re a root veggie person.- Cucumber salad was highway-robbery. It consisted of maybe a quarter of a cucumber w/ not even 2 halved cherry tomatoes (literally 3 little halves) , with a teeny tiny dollop of sauce underneath … not worth the money. Definitely should have opted for double carrots.- The roll was a cafeteria roll.- Drip coffee — was a totally find cup of coffee , but $6 for plain black drip coffee is wild!! I’m sorry what !?!It was a fine experience overall bc I had a $15 coupon, but the coffee and cucumber salad made me feel like I had literally been robbed. With so many places with AMAZING food in Nashville, for equal or less money, I wouldn’t ever really recommend it to anyone unless they were staying at the hotel.Dietary restrictions: Everything is well-labeled for east navigation if vegan, vegetarian, dairy-free, of gluten free.Parking: Super helpful valet that is comped for those dining at the restaurant.

Kish, all the wonderful servers at Stomping Grounds were amazing! We have been going there for an annual event for two years now and both times the staff and food has been spot on! Kudos to everyone involved in making our experience one to remember. Thank you!

Breakfast was fantastic. Avocado toast was packed full of flavor, omelette was good size and full of fresh ingredients, you can tell they're freshly prepared. AND the potatoes that come with breakfast meals, order an additional side, they're incredible!!! The space was bright and comfortable, highly recommend.

I came to the restaurant for lunch and liked it! I had the Music City Bento with Chicken Katsu, Roasted Seasonal Vegetable, Farro, roll and cornbread. I couldn't decide between the roll and cornbread and the waiter was nice enough to bring me both (the cornbread was the better choice). I absolutely loved the Chicken Katsu. The breading was crispy, the chicken was juicy, and the sauce had just the right amount of sweetness to perfectly round out the dish. I thought the farro was well cooked and I liked the sauce and vegetables it came with. The roasted vegetables were good but nothing special. I really liked the cornbread which was moist and on the sweeter side, and thought it was much better than the roll. I was pretty full from all that and felt it was very reasonably priced for what I got. My date had the chicken and avocado sandwich which he thought was juicy and well made. My only qualms about this place is that parking is a bit challenging. The lot across the street is expensive, but thankfully we found some affordable street parking a block away. I also tried calling before coming so I could ask about the parking situation but no one picked up a which was a bit disappointing. Nevertheless, I enjoyed the food here, especially the Chicken Katsu and would consider coming back just to have that again.

Every restaurant at a JW Marriott is always incredible. The food, service, and ambiance...... Stompin' Grounds put a stop to that!! We arrived at 11:01and was informed that breakfast was over. The waiter gave the lunch menu. After looking it over, I ordered the music city bento. The waiter told me that's not available. So I ordered a chicken sandwich. The fries were cold and they got another order wrong. Would not send anyone to this place!!

Very over priced for Thanksgiving buffet. The food was just ok nothing special. Once we were seated our waitress asked for our drink order & we didn’t see her again. We were ready to pay and could not find our server. I laid my credit card on the table & finally we got our ticket. With the meal they also charged a service charge. Again very over priced!!

We had breakfast here while staying in the hotel. My boyfriend loved the buffet and I got the eggs Benedict (by far the best eggs I’ve had in my life). But Emily was amazing, she was so sweet and attentive. And she makes a killer iced vanilla oat milk latte! Thanks!

If you're going to auto add a 20% tip, I shouldn't have to stare at dirty dishes for 30 minutes

When checking in for a weekend stay at the JW Marriot, we were given breakfast vouchers for Stomping Grounds since the Executive Lounge is not open on the weekend. The vouchers said they were for a continental breakfast, which turned out to be for their nice breakfast buffet. The bountiful buffet features fresh fruit, oatmeal, scrambled eggs, bacon, a choice of breads, yogurt, and sweet rolls as well as other items. It also included coffee or tea. If you don't have a voucher, the charge for the buffet is around $27 per person or you can order off the menu. The buffet provided a satisfying start to the day so we were not hungry until dinner. Our serve on both days was Emily who was very efficient and pleasant. She was even able to remember the type of tea my husband drank and that I liked my coffee with cream. Sure, it is not the cheapest breakfast in Nashville, but for a hotel such as the JW Marriott, the price is average. The bright and airy dining area also makes for a pleasant experience. The only thing that I might suggest for the buffet is to move the toasters for the bagels and breads to the end which would help the line to flow better when there are several people in line.
