My fiancé and I were staying in Midtown and came here Friday for some live music, we enjoyed the band so much we came back on Saturday. Saturday was a completely different story- all of the staff appeared to be drunk themselves and the bouncers were the some of the rudest people I’ve ever encountered. It was like they were trying to piss people off so they had a reason to kick them out. I wouldn’t recommend this establishment unless you wanna get flipped off by bar tenders and interrogated by the bouncers.

The bartender fell into me while she was drunkenly grinding on the guy sitting beside me. This was after she made me one of the worst drinks I've ever had, which was an absurd $17. Won't be back.

Meh food. Meh service. Meh drinks (no draft beer, but draft cocktails?) It's weird. And dumb expensive for what it is.

Came here last night with a group of friends. After waiting in line for nearly an hour, we finally got in. At first, everything was fine. Until about an hour after we got in, I walked downstairs to grab a drink from the bar. It was then that two employees grabbed me, forced me outside, and wouldn’t let me back in. I talked with some folks on the street who similarly said they had been thrown out for no other reason than that the employees wanted to make room for the new arrivals. Some sober friends I had come with came out and confirmed to the doorman that I nor anyone else had acted out, or done anything worthy of getting kicked out. He did not care however, and threw my friends out as well, again to make space for new arrivals. I have never encounter ruder workers at any bar I’ve ever been to, and I, nor any of my friends will ever be returning to Dogwood to waste our money on a single drink before being thrown to the curb on the whims of the doorman.

Used to be my go to dance club in Nashville, Especially whenever they had DJ 1L. They have one HUGE dance floor on the 2nd floor that makes it one of the rarer dance clubs more prominent in downtown nashville. However as of late, their 2 main DJs for friday and saturday DJ Recess and DJ Mojo, continuously will play the exact same playlist and will barely change it up throughout the night. Which can lead to you not wanting to come back very often. If you're a tourist, go for it. If you're a local, go once or twice then don't go back because you'll hear the same set. However, if their main DJs ever end up being out for whatever reason, their subs they end up bringing in are always awesome. Which makes me wonder what the ownership is looking for when their main DJs get outplayed by their subs but they still keep scheduling the same 2 djs for the same sets. This also could be a set controlled by Dogwood itself and they aren't giving the DJs a lot of freedom, regardless, this is just what i've seen clubbing here for the past 2 years. If they can just fix their DJ variety, this could easily end up being the best dance club in Nashville. So much potential, was so good here the previous year then it just dropped off the last 4-5 months. I may be an outlier in this opinion, but i'm sure i'm not the only local who has this opinion.

Sat down at a not very busy bar and nobody even bothered asking if I needed a drink or anything. ?

Disappointed in the staff, particularly unkind. Do not recommend coming off you are not local or have an out of state ID.

Please list your prices. Coors = $6.42, about the same as their IPA. ?

Ok so I went to this place on Saturday to watch football, I drink there for about 4 hours. The issue here was when they brought my bill it was $165.00.. normally I just tip 20%+ and keep it moving. But it didn’t make sense, I was alone and drank Miller lite, how could it be $165.00?? So I asked for the itemized which they didn’t want to give me... They had put a bunch of random fees and added Gratuity. So I just let it be, didn’t complain, just made a mental note of it. However the bartender then got rude asking why I wasn’t adding a Tip. I mentioned, I planned on tipping you, but you just went ahead and did it anyways and made no mention and tried to get a double tip by not informing me… She insisted that I need to tip and sign the receipt. So at this point, I left and took the receipts with me. 2 days later and now there’s another 20% on top of the already 20% gratuity they took originally. Photos of receipts I kept. She took the itemized immediately after I looked at it and sat it back down.Seems like a trend here, will be going back to take this up with the manager, because clearly they’re blatantly committing fraud to several people.
