Creative cuisine is cool, but waaay overpriced.

All around disappointing. & definitely not worth the price

The waitress was not super friendly and the food was not at all worth the price! $21 for a chicken salad sandwich and french fries is a bit outrageous! No one I was with liked their food! Disappointing!

The Flipside is closed. It was changed to some gumbo bar a few months ago with a totally different name. It’s not the same menu or same place at all. Despite it changing months ago, they keep the Flipside signage out and somehow the location is still marked as “the Flipside” on maps. I’m guessing this is to trick people into coming in by using the name recognition the Flipside built for years, even though they are in no way the Flipside. Very misleading, shady place and 12 South deserves better.

For one .. this place does not exist anymore. Apparently they were bought out in November of 2019. The name is now Ludlow's Gum o Bar and Steak. They still have The Flipside on the door, on the menu... However they have a mediocre menu that is over priced and not worth anyone's time trying out. The chicken was dried out on the chicken and waffles, the drinks are subpar. Do not come here for the chicken experience of Nashville.

Went by on a sunny day about 1pm to avoid any crowds. Hard to find unless you WATCH your WAZE or maps. Has a small free parking lot in the back but you can find parking around. Went in and got a nice booth. Music was fun and service fast - food was hot. They had a good selection of wine and draft beer. We saw a lot of folks had Bloody Marys - they make good yummy drinks. We got two appetizers - the crawfish hush puppies 5 for $5/dip (killer) and a lot of seared brussel sprouts for $6 ( they were absolutely wonderful and they had vinaigrette/maple/bacon) drizzle). We split the appetizers and each got a cup (good size) gumbo (rice, shrimp, oyster, and a hush puppy) for $9.50 - bit spicy and delicious. A large bowl is $15.

Great atmosphere. I found the menu lacking healthy options,...a little over priced. Food was good...

Excellent brunch and friendly servers. Looking for a great brunch on 12th. South in Nashville I'd give them a try.

We stumbled upon this place while walking the 12 South neighborhood & enjoyed its twist on brunch! From Migas to smothered tarot tots to hot chicken this local brunch spot has a very diverse menu. A huge crab leg Bloody Mary or the gumbo bar were also available with some two for one drinks as well! Street parking is easy in the surrounding neighborhood.

We decided to check this out one day after seeing a picture online. The inside of this place is absolutely adorable! It's very retro and has a ton of natural light. The food was good and it's not a very far walk from all the other shops on 12th Street. Definitely worth a visit, especially as 12th Street isn't as busy as Broadway and has plenty of places to check out!

took over an hour to get drinks. food was underwhelming and took 2 hours to get. not sure if they were under staffed or what but i don’t recommend.

The Flipside is a great restaurant for a somewhat fast sit-down lunch. They offer a great selection of delicious food and drink options at very affordable price points. The staff is well equipped to accommodate individuals with dietary restrictions, even those with life-threatening food allergies. I highly recommend ordering a chicken sandwich.

The service was phenomenal and the Bloody Mary was really well done. First time having crab in a bloody.

Rode across Nashville to eat Sunday brunch. Very excited for their chicken and waffles. Hours said open at 10 a.m. get there at 10:15. Doors locked and no one there.
