What an outstanding restaurant. We went for my wife's Birthday and everyone from the host to the bus staff were outstanding. Everyone stopping by saying happy birthday ?. Great atmosphere, outstanding food and service just an all around must visit. Can't wait to come back next year.

I booked back-to-back large customer dinners here this week in a private dining area called the Mezzanine. Both nights were consistently over-the-top in service, food selection and taste, and atmosphere. All my customers raved about the events. This place is a MUST whether you’re on date night or booking a group dinner. Exceeds expectations. Awesome staff.

Wow! Didn't quite expect it to be so good. Just passing through on a road trip and stopped there for dinner. Excellent food and service in a beautiful setting. Highly recommended.

I was a bit disappointed with my visit here. The menu was quite limited, and the prices were very high. The presentation of the food was not good, just a steak or a small piece of fish on a plate. I was expecting to be impressed by the quality of the steak, but it just wasn't very different than what I can make at home. The food was very salty, and we left feeling let down by our experience here.

Love the vibe- open and airy but booths are cozy and quieter- even though theyre in the middle of tge action. Excellent martini! Good wine selection. Staff is sharp, attentive, attractive. Fish was delicious- slightly overcooked but still top notch. Loved it.
Meal was quite good. Well seasoned. Cooked as ordered. Service was ok- could have been a bit more attentive for the cost of the meal. Server more interested in upgrades and additions. Restaurant was almost completely filled. Additional of a piano player was very nice- not too loud. One of the best advantages here is that you can actually have a conversation. Valet parking downtown is also welcomed. One of our favorites.

The wagyu meatballs were outstanding. Then I had the grouper with crab meat topping with the Brussels Sprout as the side. The grouper was tender and delicious, but the portion was smaller than I expected. The brussels sprout was also good, nice and crispy, but a bit too salty. All in all a very good meal.

Best thing we ate were the popover cheese bread appetizer. I had the 30 day aged ribeye which had no flavor to it. My girlfriend had the pork chop and it was super salty but better than the steak. Crab cake was decent. Overall we were really disappointed. Our waiter also didn't ask how I wanted my steak cook until 10 minutes after we ordered.

A beautiful restaurant with excellent food and service. We had pan seared halibut (outstanding) and crabcakes (very good). The ice cream sundae was just ok. Our server was super professional. We don't live anywhere near Georgetown and were just passing through. Otherwise, we would be returning soon. Highly recommend.

River House has once more been a perfect choice! Sushi and tuna tartare were exceptional as was the filet, crispy brussels and of course the popovers! This place never disappoints!
